Absolutely, I really think that has been the flavor of the month with our secondary, they haven't seen a lot of this stuff before so they will be better off later in the year, plus I feel we won't see as complex offenses that we've seen the last two weeks, IMO.

Evan is from Florida JFI. And I wouldn't hold your breath over this one. My thoughts as well. Just can't find myself getting excited about this one.

What you said. What I seen in Wiscy were some deficiencies in speed and that can't be corrected if you don't have it, our issues are mainly discipline related that I feel can be and will be fixed. Another reason Wiscy looks so good is that they have a fairly simple yet effective system in place that most of their players know, we on the otherhand are still trying to figure some identity. And our game with UW will make our OOC more difficult than theirs.

Even though I think Chattanooga isn't UNLV, the Rebels are pretty bad and I think we would have blown them out as well. Oregon State wouldn't have been huge challenge, IMO. Fresno wouldn't have gotten shut out and they can beat UNLV. Bottom line, I'm not worried about our O vs Wisc D, my thoughts have always been, "Can we slow down their backs?" I'm looking forward to playing them but we gotta take care of UW first and play better on Sat.

Price's qb rating is 183. He can throw all day to a stable of receivers three deep. I think the one you don't want in a passing fest is Martinez if the huskies shut down nebraska's run game. By the way, the husky D is 7 in the country in run defense. I never did say that about Martinez, we all know that isn't his strong suit. I really don't take a whole lot of stock in a QB rating for 2 games against so so competition. I think for both teams its about balance, which I give Washington credit in the bowl game due to Polk being able to run. I'm more concerned about him than anything else. However, don't sleep on Martinez buring UW secondary deep a time or two for loading the box, because I'll know you'll sell out to stop Martinez. I'm just stating where I think Washington goes as Polk goes as does Martinez with NU.

Contain Polk (snake's head), by WRAPPING HIM UP and not allowing 1-2 yard gains turn into 5 yrd - 1st down gains and we will win soundly. They will try PA to keep us off balance but the key is to slow their run game. I wouldn't want Price to get into a passing fest if I were a Husky fan.

I feel with all the preseason expectations NU had, because of Saturday's performance against a 'non-BCS' opponent (mentioned earlier), we're graded a bit harder and it doesn't help that we're the new kid on the block. Wisc looks deserving of their ranking but they are playing how they are supposed to against their competition. MSU, the same as Wisc, but I'm still not sold on Sparty. Maybe after they play OSU my opinion will change. Found out that they play ND next week, so we'll see.
