  1. Gee, i figured it would be an AM-radio-only broadcast.
  2. Generally speaking, "breaking the law/violating rules of conduct" means you can and usually will lose your job immediately, and without remedy.
  3. Delaney had a recent television appearance with urban meyer, shortly after the OSU snafu came out. The big ten is about to get a major face lift. First + Nebraska. Next > Urban Meyer to OSU. Then > JoPa retires, no doubt some "splash" hire will be in the works. If UM can get their stuffins together, you could have Nebraska, OSU, UM, PSU all back in their proper forms. Can't wait for the future battles! GBR!!!! Back in Black baby
  4. Noise? Really? That noise factor really helped all the home teams against Nebraska last season. In fact, as i recall, the only advantage home teams had against Nebraska last season was "Watson" and "big 12 referees".
  5. Feel free to disagree, but yes, that's my opinion. I think wisconsin is a joke. Trying to stop the blitzkrieg with the polish cavalry. I think they will be exposed horribly, and lose by 3 or 4 touchdowns, and probably not score....say 24 - 0 Huskers, or thereabouts. Wisconsin has to beat you in one particular way, which matches up really poorly with Nebraska's team D and other team strengths this year. PSU is late in the season, away game, probably the toughest away environment being furthest from Lincoln and a really huge stadium, lots of pride and tradition. PSU also has a lock on the top talent in their home state year in and year out. I believe the PSU away game will regularly be the toughest game for Nebrasaka, at least until michigan gets on their feet. How about 17-16 PSU? OSU does have the talent to match up with Nebraska, but not enough to overcome the "1st game back" issues for pryor and etc., plus its in Lincoln. Say, 23-10 Huskers. Nebraska wins the division and vs. wisconsin or PSU for the inaugural B1G title. Rematches are tough. Pick 'em.
  6. DING DING DING DING DING DING DING I'm thinking at PSU will be the toughest game for Nebraska this season.
  7. Considering he started most of the season last year for a top ten D, I think it was probably a pretty good move.
  8. Dang, the hate. "Ban me, wilt thou? Nay, but I shall ban thee!"
  9. Agreed. The LB's are the most likely weak point, but expect the brothers Pelini to protect them with players like E-Mart, Camstash, and some of the more mobile interior types. I believe a new class of "hybrid" Blackshirt defender is on the horizon.
  10. orly. wisconsin, and the rest of the big ten, is going to be shocked at how difficult it is to run the ball against the blackshirts this fall. linky Your v a g i n a is showing. OMG NOOOOOOOOO NOT THE BIG SLOW TEN NOOOOOOO Here's how it really go: the worst performing (vs. their BCS peers this past season), slowest, most strategically backwards football conference in the country has lined up all their prize chickens for NU to decapitate this fall. Goody goody gumdrops. What? Which part went over your head?
  11. Nothing like getting out of the kitchen when you can't stand the heat.
  12. Prime time sweetness. Now bend over and kiss your cheesy ass goodbye!
  13. Yeah, my strong level of confidence in this year's D is in part due to the type of offenses NU will largely be facing throughout. Given that Bo's Defensive implementation was able to throttle the Big 12 within a couple seasons - producing the best ppg defense in the country, in a league which, at the time of his entry into it, was by far the most prolific scoring league amongst the BCS majors - I, and many others, find it hardly likely that the more traditional offenses and slower game speed of the big ten will pose any threat whatsoever. This is Nebraska we're talking about. The home of , one of the greatest traditional institutions in all of college football. Nebraska is Defense. Combine the logjam on the D line + returning LB's + Dennard alone(eliminate the best opposing receiver), and the loss of several prolific big ten QB's, + the lack of big time receiver corps in the conference, + ohio state's controversy, + wisconsin losing their o-line, etc. etc. etc............... and hot damn its gonna be a freakishly dominant Blackshirt D this fall. One of the most likely scenarios in all of college football this upcoming season, is that the Blackshirts are Top 5 in total D & PPG allowed by the close of the 2011-2012 season.
  14. I don't think it's any coincidence that E-Mart and Conan share a thread.
  15. ^^^^^^^^^^ NU is so set up to win the big ten strictly based on defensive matchups, its just silly.
  16. That's what they said in 1995 before we played Florida's Fun N' Gun offense. 62-24. And the continuity at Nebraska since 1995 clearly would lead us to expect something similar on offense... zing!
  17. I just don't get how people can't see this. College football teams can be championship-level successful running any offense as long as it comes through in the clutch. I for one can't wait to see what Beck and Pelini have cooked up. If it's half as effective as the D, it will be a very good year.
  18. I believe the jury is still out on next season's offense.
  19. How about just score some damn points.
