BIGREDIOWAN
I don't think it would be possible for them to score that much on this team!!!! I mean that team was way worse and I would have to say we have much better talent IMO!!!! Quote Link to comment
rocketlb
Yeah, I agree overall as a team we have much better talent. But our DB's, IMO, have less talent. Remember, we had Fabian Washington, the Bullocks twins, and McPherson (?) in the secondary then. The difference now is that all of our players buy into the system that is in place, instead of acting like cry babies about it. Regardless of who we had back there, my point was that if we just put everyone back and try to just defend the pass, we will get torched. We would get torched because the SC receivers would find a way to get open no matter what, if they have enough time. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
No pressure + No secondary = No chance. C'mon, Cosgrove, get'em going! Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
We didn't have the pass rushers on the front line back then that we do now. Pressure makes a world of difference when talking about the pass defense. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
I think the key is going to be rushing the QB to make errant passes and forcing a lot of 3 and outs. Keep their defense on the field and their offense off the field. With 4 backs, we can run the ball all day long. Wear down their defense and hit em hard in the 4th quarter. Quote Link to comment
Hawkeyehusker
I think one advantage is USC's running back may have talent but they are inexperienced for the most part. That will effect their ability to pass block. We'll get to Booty. With a little luck we will put so much pressure on him he will throw a couple of picks. Quote Link to comment

Yeah your right on our secondary and we all know that it's our only weakness on Defense right now. Hopefully we will see some good things out of the USC game and they will boost their confidence even more along with ours. Quote Link to comment
