strigori
I dont know what exactly ISU fans are expecting to get. The fact of the matter is anyone who takes the job will do one of three things. 1 - Fail miserably, ISU goes back to the pre-Mac era. 2 - No change, bowls every other year, no real threat at a title. 3 - Things get up and moving in the right direction, maybe winning a north title, then the coach jumps for a program that can win a National Championship. ttheKid1*18
Apparently Norvell is the frontrunner according to ESPN radio. Quote Link to comment
shuckem
Why would he want to go to IA ST? As someone mentioned earlier, it is and will always be IA ST. Don't you think there will be other head coaching jobs available as the season winds down the he is better suited for. Why jump at a chance to be head coach at an average football program at best? Besides, do you think he would want to play the Huskers every year? He know that positive things are happening here. If he takes it, good luck to him. I hope he is patient and makes sure it is the right situation for him. Quote Link to comment
Capp
They are reporting on 1620 that Norvell is no longer in the hunt For that job. Good for NU but maybe bad for Jay. i think that he can get a better job than ISU. GBR Quote Link to comment
