Hawkeyehusker
Bowman could apply for a medical. But barring any complications he should be back for the season. At least for conference play. But the real difficulity is Bowman was really still rehabing his other knee. Callahan wasn't even letting him participate in full contact drills. So even if he is back by the time we play Iowa State he probably still won't be 100%. If there is any bright side at all it's that the season doesn't start for 6 months. We have a lot of quality DB's, just inexperienced. Quote Link to comment
BigRedCornhead
Oh Dear god i was completely oblivious to this until i picked up todays paper. Of all the players that will play an integral role this next season Bowman was definetly a front runner. I sure hope he is healthy for the season. Quote Link to comment
cmb23
Bowman will be out 4-6 months according to Bill Callahan. ruptured patellar tendon Medical terminology has ruptured and torn. For layman terms....ruptured = torn. Same thing. Not that some people don't need it...but that injury is horrible for anyone depending on quick movements, speed and especially jumping. Not much better than a blown ACL. Wonder if he's thinking 'Should've tried the draft'? Now he's going to have to make it back for a season...and still prove himself at the combines to even take a chance on. Back to back season-ending (possibly) knee injuries...tough. HSKRNOKC
I feel terrible for Bowman. I hope he makes it back and makes his presence felt. Quote Link to comment
