Landlord
"Instead of taking part in Packers minicamp on May 17th, rookie running back Brandon Jackson was forced to attend a photo shoot in Las Angeles. At the time, fans seemed a little annoyed with this and rightfully so. It was quite unfair that the NFLPA forced him to miss camp, but instead partying it up on the L.A. trip, Jackson displayed a great example of maturity and motivation by constantly studying the Packers playbook. "I was real frustrated," Jackson recounted Thursday. "But, knowing what you got to do, I really didn't care after that. I had to go, so I went, did that. That's done and over with. I'm back out here, I'm happy and I'm just ready to go." This is certainly a pleasant change-of-pace. It's a rarity these days to find a rookie, or any player for that matter, as devoted to improvement as Jackson is. When others are out punching strippers, attending dog fights, being arrested for assault and eating beef sticks in jail, Jackson is going out of his way to make himself a better player. Green Bay may have found a gem here. Fans and fantasy football players should take notice." go get em b-jax Quote Link to comment

Landlord
There was a teaser article on the packer's scout page that said something about "The Packers are looking to their young talent on offense.." and then said something about how jackson will be expected to contribute immediately, so that is probably a good sign! I don't have a subscription though so couldn't read the whole thing Quote Link to comment
zoogs
A lot of Packer fans are high on Morency. There are worries about Jackson being able to be a full-featured starter....we'll see. I'm rooting for him. Quote Link to comment

I'm rooting for him. Ain't all they are high on if they expect him to suddenly figure out how to run behind the zone blocking schemes. Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
Jordan says you can't be a running back at Nebraska unless you can block and not "lose the rock".....BJ did both very well. Plus it's exactly what GB needs....this new offense from Callahan will start paying off in other ways....kids will see this and want to come here. Quote Link to comment
