TX-Husker-2011
beatsaban, Thanks for the well wishes!!! I caught a little bit of your game vs. VTech and WOW!! You're guys' defense is fast. Question for you though. What seems to be the consensus about Miles' name being brought up for the Michigan job (if it opens) since he has the clause in his contract? Well as much as all of our radio stations are trying to avoid starting that talk (which at this point is probably the right thing to do as far as a distraction goes) it's definitely going to be an issue. While I couldn't blame him for going as I know it would mean so much to him, I would be disappointed to see him go. I'm hoping that he realizes that he's a part of something that could be really special right now and that we have embraced him (a small minority of idiots still don't think he's a good coach...) to the point that this is the place where he belongs. For one thing Michigan needs a serious overhaul.. I'm a Michigan fan and even I will admit that. Now they are talented, but nowhere near as talented as we are down here at LSU and the SEC is a much more powerful conference than the Big 10 at this point in the game. My fingers are crossed that he stays here, but if he goes I'll be supportive of him because he has a very good reason to take that job...... now don't even get me started about $aban and Alabama. His only tie to that job is $$$$$. You can view my thoughts at www.beatsaban.com (we seemed to have ruffled quite a few feathers amongst the BAMA fans with our shirts) Read their comments on the "Your Take" page and my comments are in purple. The shirts are awesome lmao. I might get one! Thanks for the well wishes. Good luck to you guys against the Blue Raiders this weekend. Thanks I was able to get my sign on Gameday last week and it really got things going on the site and the blood boiling for Tide fans so it was well worth fighting the heat at Gameday. I posted in the Gameday sign thread..... I'll give a free t-shirt or something if someone holds up a beatsaban.com sign at Gameday. I'm very serious about that. Edit: A) it would really help gets some awareness to the site.. but B) Man can you imagine how pissed the Bama fans would be if they saw the beatsaban.com sign up at a non-SEC school???? that cracks me up even thinking about it. ROFL! That would be HILARIOUS! LLLOOOLLLL! Quote Link to comment

adc7236
plus all other fans besides USC fans are tired of listening and watching the National Media swing from the Trojan family jewels. You can say that again!!! Quote Link to comment

One thing, though - if he does leave for Michigan, LSU should have no trouble attracting a top-notch replacement. Given the facilities, the talent (and talent base), and the passion of the fans (which translates into dollars for contracts), getting a replacement should be just a matter of picking and choosing rather than begging. He said that you could do whatever you want if you drive down to New Orleans, head to the Quarter, get me a hot sausage po'boy from Johnny's, and then drive it to Dallas so I can grub. HogBreath
We got the nation behind us 99% of college football fans East of Barstow can't stand USC. And I don't think it's so much because of their dynasty as it is the media fawning all over them. Even Kirk (Big10) Herbstreit says, "I think we are looking at 12-0." When Nebraska was in their dynasty, I never heard anything like what the media does to USC. Good luck to the Huskers tomorrow. I have the game being taped for me. I will be in Tulsa for the BYU game. I know, I know...but I promised a guy last July. Quote Link to comment
beatsaban
AR Husker Fan Agreed we shouldn't have any problems getting a top notch coach, but it's usually better to not have to keep getting new coaches all the time. BIGREDIOWAN We have what SHOULD be an easy game, but after these past 2 weeks it seems like this will be a year of the upsets so hopefully our boys play well and stay healthy.. and the same goes for you guys. TX-Husker-2011 Man now I'm REALLY hungry! Hey even if you guys don't make it to the BCS or Sugar Bowl this year you should come down to Bourbon just to hang out and to enjoy the food... and the "scenery" isn't too bad either. Hey I like that thing....... is this something you guys do for the defense? Sadly I don't get to catch many Huskers games on TV Quote Link to comment
Syzygyone
Hey I like that thing....... is this something you guys do for the defense? Sadly I don't get to catch many Huskers games on TV It's called Throwin the Bones. Comes from the Blackshirt Defense which usually is displayed with a Skull and Cross Bones. Generally it is taught to all males in Nebraska before they can walk. And, there ain't nothin' sexier than a Husker babe throwin the bones! I am a native of NOLA but now living in Buff Country, but I bleed Red. Always have, always will. I have several hundred relatives in and around NOLA and I'd love nothing more than a Husker Tiger NCG. It is well within the realm of possibility that the Trojans could get laid out. Just like it was within the realm for NU to have beaten Texas last year. I try always to remember that they are kids playing a game but oh man wouldn't that be somthin to see! Meanwhile, I will ignore your real motivation being your desire to have LSU lay rightful claim to #1 and thank you for your kind thoughts. Go Big Red!!!! Quote Link to comment

I figured it must be something related to the defense. Does the entire student section do it? That must be freakin' bad if they do. EDIT: BTW I hope all of you family survived and stayed out of harms way with Katrina. We live in Baton Rouge and got lots of wind and rain, but thankfully all of my family made it through just fine.
