And although Notre Dame fell apart this year, Charlie Weis turned that team around the first year he got there (again, i know it didn't last). We do not need 5,10,20 years to compete for a National Championship. We need a good coaching staff that can get these kids ready to play at their full potential. Coaches that can get these kids fired up and believe in themselves. Attitude is HUGE in college football, and the skill and athleticism we have on this team is right up there with teams that are contending for the NC this year. It is an EMBARESSMENT (to quote Matt Davidson), that our team looks like it does this year. There is no heart, no determination, and our stats are a downright abomination. We have the foundation to be a powerhouse, with facilities, money, fan support, tradition, and some pretty good athletes. The right coach can turn this around rather quickly.
