jonnyhuska
Ok, so far we haven't got all our wishes...Callahan is still head coach and Cosgrove is still our D-coordinator but can you feel this new energy hovering over Huskernation. I think the Nebraska players will see now that Mighty Tom is watching over them and they know they are playing under a legend. Sure he isn't a calling the plays but Im sure he has an influence on our players. I think each and every player has something to prove and having Osborne watch over them will be enough motiviation. Don't get me wrong guys, I have no faith in our system right now...but for some reason I think the players have a reason to play. Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
I am without question excited, but we were all "giddy" when we hired Callahan. Time will tell. Quote Link to comment
mjmartin1970
I feel it personally, but I definitely don't think we are a United Husker Nation at this point. There are definitely SP supporters out there that are predicting doom and gloom in our future, and rightfully so. If all things aren't handled as carefully, but quickly, as possible, things can get worse before they get better. My only hope right now is that we can heal, but I am a realist. This will only happen WHEN we get back to a winning games and being back in the Top 10 where we belong. All any of use can do is support the program. Something that I'm pretty sure won't happen until we start playing better. Quote Link to comment
jonnyhuska
The players know that they aren't playing up to Nebraska standards. Nebraska making Osborne AD proves that were getting back to business and putting this program back where it belongs. Quote Link to comment
mjmartin1970
I think that the D practicing without their blackshirts is a step in the right direction. There is always hope. Quote Link to comment
hskrmama
For the ones that are going Sat, make that stadium rock ALLLL DAY. Make it so loud the AM QB can't hear himself audible. Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
I feel that aTm caught a bad break here. They were coming in when this team and fans were about as low as they could be, but now there is a resurgance seeming to take place and aTm may just meet the most inspired team we have been all year. The Red & White Knight
I just feel good that something happened. At least it is a step forward, towards change. Sometimes you just have to say "This is not ok, this is not acceptable" Quote Link to comment

Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Yeah I noticed it. It was cloudy and rainy all weekend, and then today, the sun was shining. Is this the rebirth? I guess we'll find out... Quote Link to comment
Stu
TO being declared interim AD today was the best news i've heard since... well, since yesterday i guess... I'm excited because i know it really can't get any worse. Huskers may have won 4, but they came close to losing all but 1 of them. Quote Link to comment
Glass
Yep. This thing had gotten to such an amazing fever pitch and frenzy that it was very soothing to see Coach Tom back in the driver's seat. Very refreshing. TO makes me feel good about things or at least optimistic that things can change. Such a contrast in style and substance from that prick Pederson. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Today was the first time I smiled about NU Football in quite some time. Quote Link to comment
MNHuskerFan
I'm actually psyched to turn on the game this weekend. Even if we do lose, after all thats happened the past couple days, I dont think a loss can take the smile off my face. Quote Link to comment

I was less than "giddy", I knew his track record, and I was hoping that he would do something positive with our team... Quote Link to comment
