Mizzou fans are obviously excited about the possibility of at least the MO kids changing their commitment. Sounds like there's a small group of guys that might influence each other. Of course, the reporting here is very one-sided in favor of Mizzou (although Gabbert canceling his visit to Nebraska is a big statement).

 

What's the pulse of the situation around Husker faithful?

You might get a better response if you post this in the recruiting section. It's a no brainer that we will lose recruits because of the coaching debacle. With that, it won't take long to get the recruiting machine rolling again!

Compton was on Big Red Wrap-Up on Tuesday, a weekly Nebraska Football show and he almost sounded exhausted by what is going on. He has been recruited by Cosgrove and has a strong bond with him, but said he would give a new coach a chance before he switched. He said he is still a Husker commit, but he has to weigh his options in light of the current events. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost them both. It will suck, because they were real early targets and have formed a bond with other recruits that may waver as well. Gabbert was supposed to be awesome, but didn't show much on the field this year. It would still suck to lose him. Compton is a stud and it would be a crushing blow to lose him.
