The Huskers have picked up verbal commitments from 20 players. "I would say we'll have (the 2005 class) wrapped up before Christmas," he said. "In January, we'll go looking for (high school) juniors."

Sounds about right, based on the 2005 Class Eric the Red has documented.

 

And its good to hear they plan to have most of it wrapped up before xmas, compared to last year when they hadnt even started! But of course they will still maintain contact with these kids on regular basis until that all important National Letter of Intent day.

Recruiting is never wrapped up until the ink is dry in February. Coaches must continue to recruit the so call commit right up until the put the pads on,.
