motorboatjonesNU
Home run. He struggled somewhat early on - he's never been comfortable at the podium, but he recovered well and finished nicely. He showed a refreshing touch of impatience with poorly-worded or half-assed questions. Quote Link to comment
shyndy
man when you look back and compare it to the introduction of Bill Callahan, it was just so much more....sincere this time around. Smart move to have the family there IMO, wonder if that was TO's idea stemming from his experience in politics. Quote Link to comment
REDSTEEL
Seemed more at ease than I'd expect... Would've liked more information about where he sees our Offense ends up (But it is short notice). Surprised and a somewhat admiring of his Frank Solich Praise..(already trying to mend some fan's differences?). I kept looking at his face, and thinking, " From the nose up, he looks like Maxwell Smart" and kept waiting for him to do an Inspector Gadget voice. I hope he does'nt hold up his finger after games and use one of Maxwell quotes "Missed It By That Much" I really thought BO did pretty well his first shot out. Would I like to know more about what he going to do in the future? Yes, but they did'nt have enough time in the day for everything I wanted to ask. The one thing I liked was the fact that he put the rumors that he hates to recruit and crushed them right off the bat. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
I said a triple, I'm being selfish and wanted to hear more on the assistants He really side-stepped those questions. Must've been taking notes from Callahan! Quote Link to comment

Must've been taking notes from Callahan! Well do you blame him? He might have people in mind that are working at schools that are still coaching for bowl games. Even a coach that might be getting ready for an NC game. You don't bite your nose off to spite your face the saying goes. Quote Link to comment

Must've been taking notes from Callahan! Let's see....he just interviewed for the job....coached in the SEC Championship game....when was he supposed to make calls inquiring the availability of any assistant coaches? Give the man a break!!!! Quote Link to comment
Malth
he obviously didn't want to answer the question about the whole timeframe of TO approaching him, etc but otherwise I think he did well esp in saying that he respects TO, and will look to him for advice, and that he understands the tradition here and wants to uphold I really think Bo is the best person for the job Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
We going to start picking him apart already? Lol...think that everyone should get behind him, now that we have him. I think it was a good choice...and I really had to come to that decision over time, it wasn't immediate. Now that he has been named, I am behind the man 100%...and I trust him to pick a good staff. papersun87
He smashed it out of the park. Everything that's been wrong in the last four years was touched on and he assured me that he is the guy we're looking for. I can't wait to see the team he fields in the spring. Quote Link to comment
KCMOHUSKER
He's not a good speaker, but he said the right things. He isn't a great speaker, but isn't what we want is someone with a message instead of a bunch of coach speak. I like it alot. Bo Big Red (BBR)! Quote Link to comment
huskergal27
He made me excited about Husker football again! I love the return to tradition. Quote Link to comment

But that's fine, he doesn't have to be. Quote Link to comment

EbylHusker
You do realize it's nearly impossible to detect sarcasm in online text unless you go out of your way to emphasize it in some way, don't you? A long string of "........" or the smiley or whatever. Your post had none of that. Quote Link to comment
Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Knocked it outta the park. No question. You could tell he was pretty nervous, but I don't blame him. I wasn't too comfortable about hiring him at first, but after listening to him today... I was just like "wow, this guy might be something". Is it August yet? Quote Link to comment
