  1. So where can I bet money on SF being our next coach? All the pieces seem to be falling into place here. I find it pretty unlikely that SF will choose to stay at UCF another year, sure he's done some great things there, but he's pretty much hit the ceiling there and he's currently one of the hottest names out there. If he wants to coach at Nebraska, or any sweet P5 position, now is the time.
  2. wtf? There's a difference between passion, and the s#!t Pelini pulled on the sideline and the culture he instilled. Dude had to go.
  3. Did we really give up 42 points in the second half to Iowa? Like, I know we're bad, but holy crap. Fire Riley immediately. The UCF game is pretty entertaining though...
  4. lol Regardless of what you think of him, he's not necessarily wrong...
  5. Considering our history, I'm not sure if 4 years is a good idea.
  6. The CTE revelations are pretty recent. Considering that virtually all players college and above are developing this should cause alarm for anyone.
  7. I'm impressed with our D. Considering our 4th quarter play, we still have a legit shot at pulling off a win here.
  8. Uh, something tells me he's standing behind that thing. -302F would probably instantly freeze your body. Not sure if srs :/
  9. I have a hard time figuring out what to make of your post. The first half is much needed insight and perspective. The second half seems out of touch and tone deaf. Here's the thing: Practically all forms of protest are "divisive" and/or "disrespectful". I keep hearing that all these things are divisive and we should be doing things to bring people together... OK well I'm all ears. This sh#t has been going on for a verrrry long time, and not being provocative doesn't really seem to accomplish anything. The fact that there are people who get more outraged at someone kneeling during the national anthem then they do when people are needlessly killed is pretty f'ing sad. (Not saying this applies to you, just in general)
  10. I agree with their right to express themselves. That doesn't mean it's not classless, tasteless, and overall unbecoming of a representative of the taxpayer-funded University if Nebraska. You are way overreacting, its a simple peaceful protest which has happened multiple times throughout history, so whats the big f'ing deal? UNL should support their right to express their views if anything, if they were an overreaching University they would force them to stop. Simply let the players stand up for what they believe in, any resistance is a totalitarian movement that will reduce productivity and make the players become less loyal to the University they support. UNL should support their right to express their opinion. Like I said, you don't have to agree with it, just understand their right to voice their opinion. Their opinion is just as valid as anyone elses. I'm not "way overreacting". Overreacting would be asking for their expulsion. I'm saying they're classless and tasteless because they're intentionally showing a lack of respect for the symbol of our country and all who've sacrificed for it; which, incidentally, has nothing to do with what they're protesting. lol what? The people who have sacrificed their lives for the US did so to protect things like freedom of speech. And do you even know why they're protesting? It's because this country belongs to minorities too, and they don't feel that it is representing them as equally as others. Hence, kneeling during the anthem. I also find it rich that there are all these people raging over this peaceful protest, while poo-pooing institutional bias, racism, and people literally being killed.
  11. What that guy said ^ Furthermore, it's putting more pressure on finding a solution to the violence; which I'm pretty sure is universally desirable. Well....pressure to find a solution to SOME violence.....a very, very, very minute portion of the violence that occurs.....African American kids have been killing African American kids for decades.....no one ever gave a hoot about that violence. Now, these kids surely have the right to act the fool....I served to give them that right.....but they are misguided, bandwagoning, trend-following sheep, and disingenuous in my opinion Sorry, but you're completely missing the point.
  12. I agree with their right to express themselves. That doesn't mean it's not classless, tasteless, and overall unbecoming of a representative of the taxpayer-funded University if Nebraska. Oh please. Classless is threatening bodily harm on these individuals. As a veteran, I fully support these non-violent protests. Maybe if people were willing to actually listen and empathize, we wouldn't have players kneeling during the anthem.
  13. That this team actually plays a full game. And that we're 4-0. GBR!
  14. I'm shocked. LP is hands down one of the best running backs we've ever had, and had so much potential to be one of the greats in the NFL. All of it wasted. His life seems like the definition of tragedy. RIP.
  15. There isn't a single team on our schedule this year that we can't beat. Iowa may be undefeated, but they're still Iowa. Bring our A game and we win.
  16. I don't think he's the best, but he was fun to watch play. Other than the INT's, I loved Ganz.
