HuskerfaninOkieland
Pretty good article in the Omaha World Herald: Marvin Sanders LINCOLN — Being a former defensive back, Nebraska assistant coach Marvin Sanders understands why cornerbacks routinely do not turn around when defending a receiver with a pass on the way. Marvin SandersKeeping your eyes locked on the receiver is the safe play. But it's not what Sanders wants to see. Nebraska has some major work to do with interception numbers that last season ranked among the worst in NCAA Division I-A. Sanders said it starts with simply going after the football. HuskerTrucker
Good article. I wish it were fall already, even though I know we aren't ready yet...I am so pumped up for this season to start - just to leave last season behind if nothing else. Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
Our defensive backfield's "faceguarding" teaching philosophy last year was ridiculous. I am glad steps are being take to rectify it. Quote Link to comment
Danimal
The total lack of picks and meh coverage mean nothing, Elmo coached those guys up right. Ya I'm But it does go to show that not everybody teaches their db's the same and that we could have been making things happen rather than letting them happen to us. Stupid Big10 1998 defense.
