Why Huskers will root against MU

(for reasons other than the usual)

Eight Southeast coaches have ties to Nebraska. Head coach Tony Samuel played at Nebraska and served as an assistant coach under Tom Osborne. New outside linebackers coach Troy Dumas was an All-American linebacker for the Huskers, wide receivers coach Lorenzo Brinkley, defensive backs coach Kenny Wilhite, defensive coordinator Tim McGuire and offensive line coach Brian Boerboom all played for the Huskers. Running backs coach Chris Norris played under Tom Osborne when Samuel was an assistant in Lincoln and the father of offensive tackles/tight ends coach Justin Kramer had Samuel as a position coach.

I'll bet no other team has that many Huskers connections.

MU could run these guys by 40 or 50 with their 3rd string. They barely beat SW Baptist. For those unfamilar with D-II football, SWB is AWFUL. They have won 9 games the last five years. They were 0-11 last year. They have 6 conference wins in their last 45 conference games. Northwest Missouri State beat them 86-13 last season. Husker coaches and players or not, i hope no one wastes their energy on this one.
