husker B-rent
and by the way Pelini said that Ganz injury is nothing to worry about and that he will be just fine for this game, he said ganz was running around fine on monday. Quote Link to comment
Kruzu
i say kody spano or zach lee.......mobile, mobile............and mobile. witt just does not impress me, i really dont know why. but from what i have seen spano is the best of the 3 currently on the roster. i want a guy that is a threat to throw it deep or take off and run on every play and spano is that guy....the year after it may be green, im not sure yet as i have not seen him play other than his highlight videos which mean little to nothing. We haven't seen Witt much either but I'd be willing to bet he can chuck it around a bit or BC wouldn't have recruited him and I thought he'd look like a mix of John Elway and Frankenstein's monster trying to run but he's got a little speed based on the couple times we've seen him run. If Witt has the same intangibles on the field as the coaches see in practice I think it's doubtful we'll see anyone else start next year. GBR Quote Link to comment
longtimefan
I doubt Green would get much of a chance next year since he wouldn't know the offense very well and the other 3 guys should know it frontward and backwards. I think Green would benefit from a redshirt year and then try to win the starting quarterback job. As to who will be the starter next year, I would have to give the slightest edge to Witt since he's the #2 guy now. That being said though, I think anyone of the 3 have a good chance. I want the guy that can make good passes and has the best mobility. A scrambling quarterback makes it so hard for the defense. I doubt we'll know the starter until the last week of fall ball which will make it interesting for us never get enough UNL football information. Quote Link to comment
admo
My guess... we'll more than likely see two or three guys before the clear cut baller takes over the rest of the season. Week 6 or 7. Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
Redshirt Green, us either Lee or Witt as starter...but not both. Then if Green pans out after a year learning the system look at bringing him in unless Witt is really doing a good job. Quote Link to comment
rojosojos
I have to admit that I don't know enough about the QBs behind Ganz. The practice reports that show up in the paper don't mention them much at all, and we've only seen a few snaps taken by other than Ganz. I do know that our coaches want a guy who will exemplify their system.. I'm just admitting that nobody stands out for me at the present time. It's a good question to start thinking about now though.
