dbetz23
from huskers.com Nebraska has signed a contract with the University of Wyoming for three non-conference football games in the next eight years. The three games will be played in 2011, 2013 and 2016 with two contests in Lincoln and one in Laramie, Wyo. The first meeting between Nebraska and the Cowboys will take place on Sept. 24, 2011, at Wyoming. The Cowboys will make a trip to Lincoln on Aug. 31, 2013, and again on Sept. 17, 2016. The matchups between Nebraska and Wyoming will mark the first between the schools since a 42-32 Nebraska victory in Lincoln in 1994. The Huskers lead the overall series 5-0 with all of the games being played at Memorial Stadium, also including wins in 1934, 1968, 1983 and 1984. “We are excited to add Wyoming to our future non-conference schedule,” Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne said. “We want to make a strong effort to put together quality non-conference schedules each year, and I think we are continuing to make progress in that area.” Earlier this fall, Nebraska signed a contract for a three-game series with Fresno State. The Huskers will face Fresno State in Lincoln on Sept. 10, 2011, and Sept. 3, 2016. Nebraska will travel west to face the Bulldogs on Sept. 13, 2014. The recent additions of Wyoming and Fresno State give the Huskers three scheduled games in 2011, 2013 and 2016, and just one opponent to add in each of those seasons. In 2011, Nebraska will face Fresno State and Washington in Lincoln, in addition to its trip to Laramie. In 2013, Nebraska also has a home game with UCLA and a trip to Southern Miss on its slate. The 2016 schedule currently includes home games against Fresno State, Wyoming and Tennessee. Nebraska has completed its non-conference schedules for 2009 and 2010 Quote Link to comment

MUTigerFan
NU will get to see Mizzou's offense translated into Wyomingese a la Dave Christiansen. Quote Link to comment
captain obvious
NU will get to see Mizzou's offense translated into Wyomingese a la Dave Christiansen. It won't be anything they haven't already seen out of the WAC over the last couple of years. Wyoming probably won't have a Jeremy Maclin. Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
I like this series, though I'd like to see us play Colorado St. or Utah. Quote Link to comment

AZPharmDoc
Laramie in September can be beautiful...Laramie from late October to June is another story! Quote Link to comment
brownNgold
Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium only holds 33,500 fans. Lets paint this one RED! It might hold less by 2011 because they are building some suites on the East side. I do know when Texas comes to Laramie in 2009 they are adding extra stands to the South endzone. So who knows what the capacity will be for the Huskers in 2011, but your number looks about right. Here is our stadium on a September day Quote Link to comment
