Their high school programs are incredible, they produce at least as many athletes as Florida or California, and they will have grown up in the Big 12 - they will understand the rivalries and what is at stake for each game. By far the greatest depth of talent. Guys with unbelievable measureables, like Cody Glenn, get overlooked simply because of the depth of talent. Cali may have a few top notch products every year, and the same goes for Florida, but give me Texas everytime. Quote Link to comment

Huskerfan66 Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 It has to be Texas. Florida and Cali are right up there with talent, but the competition for the FL and CA talent is much tougher. USC can have just about anyone they want from Cali, and there is always the big 3 in Florida taking in almost all of the big time prospects. In Texas, ut is really the only power recruiter. The Huskers can go after Texas guys just as well as A&M and Tech are able to. Quote Link to comment

You recruit kids just from Nebraska and I'll recruit kids from just California and well see who's going to win. NU has maybe 4 kids a year that are legit D-1 players. You just don't see that, especially here in NU. You probably see that out of football factory states like TX, CA, and FL Hey, if you want take the bull by the horns and make NE a top football prospect state, go for it.
