  1. Glad you caught that too BigRedIowan. The first injury was obviously serious, and the second seemed that way-until he went Jerry McGuire on us and started pumping up the SC crowd. It is a dangerous game, especially special teams plays such as kickoffs where players are rediculously flying at each other. Glad to hear the SC players are headed for quick returns, good luck to SC the rest of the way.
  2. Haha, what would we do without the rest of the north
  3. I see us at 10-2, falling by 2 TD+ to SC, and losing by a TD in Austin to the Horns. WF will be good, but I have a feeling this game will be marked on the calendar and will be a success. I am actually worried about Nevada to open, that was a pretty good team this year, who knows what could happen to open the season. Enough with the Mizzou bullsh#t-we get a convincing win next year in Columbia for a change. OU-Texas will determine our Big 12 opponent. Tough game to call there. I hate to say it, but I have a feeling we will be visiting Dallas next year on New Years Day...
  4. Purify would be the prime example of this actually. The physical AU DB's were why Pure never got going. He was frustrated all day and was obviously not prepared for that kind of contact. Hopefully the coaching staff takes note of this and makes it a priority for 2007. GBR!!!
  5. I completely disagree. Without question, Lucky is the faster back that can explode through a hole and be gone- see KU game.
  6. IMO, that was the best defense we have seen all year. That is why I was impressed with the yards Lucky was gaining a majority of the time. If he continues to grow within the offense and keeps learning to read his blocks at this level, Lucky will be our best bet in the long run. I don't think Lucky was our only option. Prior to the game, the team was declared healthy and ready to play. Kind of made me wonder why Wilson and Glenn were not given a chance either. Both men deserve our praise. It is just an in-game decision on which RB is having the most success in a certain game. We should be thankful that we are able to argue on which dynamic RB to put on the field! GBR!
  7. Welcome out of the shadows! Hope to hear some lively comment from you soon and often! GBR!
  8. I do. Lucky played tough yesterday, dragging linemen and backers for substantial gains on almost every rushing play. With his even better speed and equal grit, Marlon does atleast all that Bjax can.
  9. I usually cheer for the Big 12 regardless, but our bowl season had been so fruitless, I thought what the hell, those f'ing hillbillies might as well lose too.
  10. While I love Jackson, I don't think he does as much for our offense as Lucky does and can. BJax is a base back that runs between the tackles and occasionally outside. As seen yesterday, Lucky can go up the middle, get the corner on a sweep, and be a threat with screens and swing passes. I look for Lucky to take over the job next year.
  11. He didn't throw out of bounds on purpose. Nunn was on an out route to the sideline, and Taylor's momentum and adrenaline sailed the ball into the seats. I will admit, the Taylor rollout has worked previously this season, but Zac is not the typical athlete that can successfully do that several times within a game.
  12. Jackson looked good for the few carries he had, I was impressed with his performance with his hand. However, Lucky was in the flow of the game, and while he never had that amazing run, he was netting 3 or 4 yards every carry. He made good decisions in reading blocks and did some nice things as a receiver too. Even better news, we get them all back next year!!
  13. I was sitting in that end zone at the time, and I really felt that Congdon should have been given the opportunity to kick that. The wind was virtually a non-factor. I mean what are the chances we convert 4th and 11 with the success we were having in that secong half? Poor decision, almost as bad as the plays ran immediately before that.
  14. Zac can't throw on the run, has never been able too. This was the icing on the cake for Callahan's play calling today-pulling that sh#t out with the game on the line.
  15. I don't think his Big 12 POTY honor was a fluke. He made some big throws all year and was a fighter to the end. I am very pleased with his abrupt career and wish him the best. However, he just was never the same today after we ran that pass play out into the flat early in the second quarter that where he was thumped right away
  16. yet, the shovel pass was used again late in the game and was stuffed-just another example of his obvious predictability...
  17. If he would f'ing turn around and just take a quick glance at what the hell is going on, he may have a chance. Today that would have eliminated 2 momentum turners-the interference call and the catch right over his ass.
  18. pound-that is the song-Can you feel it by King of House. It begins with the sweet-ass techno beat played for kickoffs.
  19. Yes, I was down by that endzone, Griffin picked it diving forward, and was clearly down as he landed on the belly. Too bad, we complete that we are still in that game for OT.
  20. I remember seeing a picture of a dismayed oklahoma player sitting on the bench with something like "failure-when your best just isn't good enough" under it. Does anyone know where I can find that again, or any version with a ksu or cu player in it too? Thanks!
  21. The guy ended up winning it all on ESPN and collecting the $10,000 prize with UF over UCLA.
  22. Somehow he was receiving salt water thorugh a faucet and continuously drank it until his body could not hold up.
