In other news, baseball writers and Hall of Fame voters have themselves not led so called "clean" lives. The man took steroids; so what? If steroids hit homeruns themselves, everyone could play professional baseball. I wish the media would leave the man alone.

God, this isn't news, we just finally got the proof.

 

I always knew that McGwire was taking steriods during his home run record, i knew it would be a matter of time before it came out.

I'm not picking sides here but Mark was launching balls out before he roided up. He said himself that roids increased his recovery time from injuries that plaqued him thoughout his career. Roids don't really have an effect on vision and the technical part of a swing.

 

Now alledgedly, he was taking some of the most powerful junk that was avaliable. The steroids they give to racehorses. He was also using HGH to 'increase tendon and ligament durability' to support the increased muscle mass. Hopfully for him, he doesn't end up like Caminiti. You couldn't pay me enough to put that stuff in my body, not even for all the fame, records, etc. I'd like to live past 40.
