Nexus
There are a few very short highlight clips of Roland from his Sophomore year on youtube, but they're not worth posting due to the the angle and quality of the videos. So I found an alternative clip here that'll have to do for now. The first 30 seconds of this clip shows Roland (#2 red jersey). He scores the first two touchdowns. Quote Link to comment
RockyMountainOySker
Per the rivals article: His coach said he was very excited about the Nebraska offer. JP has a great relationship with the high school and he has done a good job so far recruiting Desmond. He looks good on film, every bit the 6'2 200lbs that rivals says he is. Speed looks decent as well but not a burner. Very shifty for his size and hard to bring down...competition looks decent also. Quote Link to comment

TheCheshireCat
What position would he be playing? He looks almost too big for a RB, although I guess Robinson is about the same size. Quote Link to comment

RockyMountainOySker
I could be completely wrong but I'm pretty sure we are recruiting him for WR. Quote Link to comment
girlknowsfootball
I could be completely wrong but I'm pretty sure we are recruiting him for WR. He's a 4.64 40... seems kind of slow for WR since NU has stressed speed the past few years and gone after 4.4/4.5 40 guys. Quote Link to comment

The average time for running backs at this spring's NFL Combine was 4.62 seconds. The receivers averaged 4.52 seconds and the corners averaged 4.57-second times. Link I'll take a guy that runs .02 seconds slower than an NFL back anyday. Most of the 4.4/4.5 you see on rivals and scout are either self reported or "verified" using hand timing which is not at all accurate. Quote Link to comment

The 40 yard dash is the most worthless and overhyped stat there is for college football. Sigh. Quote Link to comment

iruletheskool
40 time matters a little, but .2 seconds does not.... if it was like 5.0 or something, then yes he's too slow 1 Quote Link to comment
