OFFICIAL: Real Madrid Sign Emmanuel Adebayor On Loan From Manchester City

 

Real Madrid have signed Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to buy in the summer. Adebayor will have a medical in Madrid tomorrow. Los Blancos will reportedly have to pay $18 million to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

 

"Real Madrid CF and Manchester City FC have reached a deal that will see Emmanuel Adebayor play on loan for the Spanish club," was the message on the club's official website.

 

"The player will remain at Real Madrid until the end of the current season, at which point the club hold a unilateral option to purchase the player."

Emmanuel Adebayor Passes Real Madrid Medical

 

Real Madrid’s new addition Emmanuel Adebayor has successfully completed his medical at the club ahead of his loan move from Manchester City.

 

The Togolese striker was not allowed to make an official statement to the waiting media, but appeared jovial before undergoing an extensive examination by Los Blancos’ medical staff.

 

The medical team confirmed to the club’s official website that the 26 year old had passed the required tests.

OFFICIAL: Hoffenheim Confirm Signing Of Liverpool Forward Ryan Babel

 

Hoffenheim released a statement on their official website to announce the signing of the 24 year old.

 

The statement reads: "We are very proud to be able to get Ryan Babel, an internationally experienced player from a top club like Liverpool, to Hoffenheim."

 

Babel is believed to have passed his medical in Germany and to have signed a 2.5 year deal, with a reported $7 million exchanging hands between the clubs.

Ribery Out 3 More Weeks With Knee Injury

 

Originally set to miss only two weeks, the Frenchman has had his time on the sidelines extended by club doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt, according to German newspaper Bild. Ribery will therefore miss the team's Champions League fixture against Inter and will not be selected for league matches against Bremen, Koeln and Hoffenheim.

 

The injury was sustained against Wolfsburg after only 16 minutes.

OFFICIAL: Sergio Busquets Signs Contract Extension With Barcelona Until 2015

 

Barcelona have confirmed through their official website that midfielder Sergio Busquets has signed a contract extension with the club until the summer of 2015.

 

The Spaniard had been locked in discussions with Barcelona over the past six weeks in order to negotiate a new deal.

 

The midfielder's previous deal expired in 2013, but these improved terms include a significant salary increase, as well as his minimum fee release clause taking a significant leap from $80 million to $150 million.
