Mark Schlabach: Post-spring Top 25 pre-season rankings

Is it bad that these high rankings are making me nervous instead of excited? Last year we showed we could play with anybody, bt we didn't have any wins aginst top teams (granted texas was the only top tier team we played) I need a W against a top ten team befor I start thinking about us as a top ten team.

it's all about confidence. that is what made our defense so great at the end of the season.

 

Despite OU's 8-5 season I still think they were a damned good team and a significant victory. Their record might not show it (just look at the teams they lost to, though) but they were filled with talent.

i agree. they suffered from injuries, mostly on the o-line, just like us. and they lost their heisman qb.

man i hope these analysts are right. I would just hate to be that team that is predicted high and then struggles to be in the rankings at all.

We shouldn't worry about whether or not A&M should be getting love or not, we need to worry about us, and not keeping up with all the hype. I don't want to be this years Ole Miss.
