TheCheshireCat
Personally I hate the term "UNL." Hate it. I always refer to Nebraska as NU, it sounds stronger. Quote Link to comment
Nexus
I use NU in short hand on internet message boards. In my day-to-day interactions with the real world, I usually refer to them as Nebraska or Huskers, but not NU. Therefore I'm okay with Northwestern being NU. It's definitely not something that'll keep me up at night. Quote Link to comment

knapplc
We're NU. If Northwestern wants to be called "NU" then they can come over to Memorial Stadium, strap on their pads, and take the rights to the name away from us. Quote Link to comment

Hopefully they don't want us to debate them for who has the right to it. If it is on the football field, though, I like our chances. Quote Link to comment

Their forum or ours. NO, say it ain't so! Knappy would like to enter into a debate with a fan of another school that differs from our contingency's opinion? I can barely believe it. Well, I think I would enjoy myself as well with that little "conversation" with the NW folks. I kind of like our chances, come to think of it. Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
As I recall from the 2000 Alamo Bowl, they were doing a lot of debating (talking), while we were running up and down the field at will. I was sitting in the end zone where Dan Alexander had a hole so big that you not only could've driven a truck through, but you could've parallel parked the truck in. Quote Link to comment
Vince from ShamWOW
will we be prohibited from being marketed in the big 10 as NU? not terribly significant, i know, but just sayin'... No. Nebraska will still be NU. I asked a friend that works at the NU Athletic Department about 20 minutes ago. After he chuckeled he said "We are NU and will always be NU. Nothing will change." I guess that shows, huh? Quote Link to comment

I seem to rub others the wrong way a lot as well in non-InterWeb land! I just hold back here because I tend to let my rather impressive vocabulary become altered. It tends to feature words with far less syllables as I reach the "boiling point". Quote Link to comment
