Back from the game

Just checked into our hotel in Houston. I am not sorry I went, the their fans were truely nice/hospitiable people and I enjoyed my time with them. Save one Douche bag that sat in section 148, row 20, seat 1. He only lasted one quarter before the Mounties came and took him away. I guess every fan base has a few jackwaggons.

Before the game: 1- Dixie Chicken, an Irish bar, and the to the North Texans for Nebraska tailgate. The Dixie Chicken was all it was cracked up to be. Very cool and awesome old country music. The irish bar was nice, but the thing that got me is that it wasn't busy- at all. And most of the people in their were Huskers. In fact outside of the Dixie Chicken and a maybe two other bars, it just wasn't crazy packed like Lincoln gets on gameday. The NTfor Nebraska tailgate party was a blast.

The stadium. THe stadium itself is just ok. I still have a hard believing that there were 90,000 people there, I guess because the South side is open. The food inside the stadium is horrible at best.

The atmosphere, the crowd was very loud, and the cannon is irritating. But still, people were nice

The game: well, you know how it went. I didn't see the Carl P melt down, but I was listening to the local Aggie station post game when they said that Bo went after the refs and had to be restrained by the State Police. I have zero idea if this was true, I didn't see it eventhough I stayed in my seat for about 15 minutes post game.

After the game: People were nice and polite, not one person was rude or rubbed anything in our faces. But of course you'd be nice too if you were just given a gift.

A random note from when I was watching the game, there was a short view of some Husker fans in the crowd looking really bewildered. Looked like they were being asked by stadium staff to sit down. Not sure though. You know anything about that?

I know on the TV, it looked like Bo was going after someone with fury like hell hath never seen, and the announcers said he was going for the refs, and that they were trying to get him to the tunnels later.

We stood the whole game, but were not allowed to stand on the benches. Bewildered is a great way to describe how I felt for 3quarters- it really was bizzaro world feeling. I still cannot believe that game, its was just strange. We were never, ever, going to win that game.

I am glad you "enjoyed" your time in Aggieland. I know it was a tough loss. Thank you for being complementary and avoiding the F U comments i have seen from other posters on this board. One of the main reasons those places weren't packed is because the majority of the fans are more about the tailgating. It gets CRAZY packed around the stadium. But not as much in the surrounding areas.

The stadium food is HORRIBLE and we all agree.

The crowd never feels as big as it is actually announced. But it WAS pretty crowded tonight. And all the extra seats on the track helped fill it out to.

I am glad the jackwaggon fan was escorted out. Typically Aggies self police the fans. But we definitely have our fair share of obnoxious fans.

Again I am glad you had a safe and enjoyable Aggieland experience. Nebraska fans are the class of the Big 12. I had some great conversations with some long time Big Red fans and it was great. I wish you guys all the best in your next endeavors.

Bo screamed at the refs as they went off the field, then shook Sherman's hand, then went to the locker room. He wasn't restrained.

That's good to know. Radio guys mentioned he was"escorted" away from the officials.

it was more of an 'escort" because of the aggies storming the field. lots of people bumpin into him and whatnot, and i actually chuckled at the staties...they were pretty aggressive shoving people out of the way. the possibilty of it getting out of hand quickly was there.
