adc7236 Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Why does Wats not pass off the QB zone read more often? I think I have seen us attempt it once, but please correct me if I am wrong. Seems like the QB could throw a few quick dump off plays from our zone read? When the defenders our loading the box, it gives them one more thing to defend. Perhaps Wats is afraid his offense will be called triple option....joking. Quote Link to comment

I think it probably has alot to do with this being our first year in the zone read and not really trusting the offenses ability to execute the play properly. Hell our O line and WR's have a hard enough time executing simple plays, let alone a zone read pass. It would look like a monkey trying to .... a football. Quote Link to comment
