GoMocs1
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team will open the 2011 season on the road against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sept. 3, the schools announced today. A verbal agreement had been in place for months prior to this morning’s announcement and well before the Cornhuskers moved from the Big 12 conference to the Big Ten this summer. The Mocs will be Nebraska’s first opponent as a member of the Big Ten. For the second time in four years, UTC will be heading to the heartland for its opener. In 2008, the Mocs began their season at Oklahoma, falling 57-2. This will be the first meeting between UTC and the Cornhuskers, who are 10-3 this season and ranked No. 17 in the AP poll. Nebraska will face Washington in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30. For more, see tomorrow's Times Free Press. GoMocs1
As I had told you a month or two ago. The good news for you is that success comes with us! In 2008 we played Oklahoma, they went to the BCS Championship game and Bradford won the Heisman. Last year we played Alabama, Ingram won the Heisman and they won the BCS Championship. This year we played Auburn and Cam Newton won the Heisman and they are headed to the BCS Championship game. Looks like a great year for Nebraska next year!!!!! A Heisman and a trip to the National Championship! Quote Link to comment
