Steve Pederson in hot water

Recommended Posts

While others counted down the final hours of 2010, Lafayette Pitts shared a message with friends on Facebook: "My new head coach is in jail right now."

Who could celebrate?

"I felt like I couldn't even catch a break," said Pitts, who verbally committed to Pitt in June, eight months before signing day, in hopes of making his senior year at Woodland Hills less stressful. It hasn't.

"I try not to let it get to me too much," Pitts said, "but I'm not sure what's going to happen."

For Pitts and the 17 other recruits who chose Pitt, the past few weeks have been worrisome. Their concerns began with coach Dave Wannstedt's forced resignation and continued when his replacement, Mike Haywood, was fired Jan. 1 after his arrest a day earlier for domestic battery. LINK

Pedey's ship is sinking fast. Pitt recruiting class down to 8 recruits. And they are wavering.

Wouldn't be the first time.

Practally the first thing Peddy did at Pitt was extend Wanny's contract. Now Wanny's gone, his replacement lasted less than a week and boosters are in an uproar. Serves them right for not being aware of what this jackass did to Nebraska.
