Saunders
***Carl says he hasn't been about to watch much of the offense this year because of a defense with two young corners now. "I've been by the bench on my knees teaching."*** Carl says you'll see cornerback Alfonzo Dennard this week, and he's looking forward to the swagger and leadership that brings. Carl said he could play "a significant number of reps this week." That decision may come from Dennard as he gauges his body. Carl says he has seen Dennard open up and go full speed this week. *** Carl said you'll see more of PJ Smith, and Daimion Stafford will be in more of a role Eric Hagg had in the past. *** Carl likes what is going on with the Husker offense. Lots of mismatches to be had there, as he knows from defending during fall camp. He likes the chances when a mismatch means a linebacker is on Jamal Turner in space or Ameer Abudullah. ***First question for Carl? Jared Crick? "He's questionable," Carl says, "he is." ***One of the next questions was about fullback Tyler Legate. Don't worry, Carl likes Legate, too. But he's not calling the plays. *** A name dropped by Carl was Harvey Jackson, a redshirt freshman safety. Full story: http://my.journalsta...arl_pelini.html Quote Link to comment
da skers
Whats interesting about that? Wyoming is a passing team running a spread like Mizzou did when the booger flicker was there. Its what we ran last year and the year before that against spread teams. Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
I like the fact that PJ is going to see the field more. Quote Link to comment
Saunders
I like the fact that PJ is going to see the field more. Pretty much this is what I meant. Getting more athleticism back on the field. Quote Link to comment
