Ipad users, I have a question

Recommended Posts

Can an Ipad be used as a pc for basic things like quick books? Or does just work with apps like a droid or iphone?

My little netbook's keyboard is going out and my nook took a dive, so I would like to get one device for both. The Ipad's look cool, but I need to be able to do some computing tasks, like keep track of my checking accounts, on whatever I buy.

If I do get one, is it wise to buy the more expensive one with the memory?

I refuse to get an iPad - just find apple way too proprietary and limiting, though I admit I do love my ipod touch (which I got as a gift). FWIW - ASUS as a tablet probably has the Quickbooks capability. I was actually looking at these today. http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-TF101-B1-10-1-Inch-Tablet-Computer/dp/B004U78JT8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I5JR8R1HBB3WL&colid=2RIBXZVG3ZIU3
