kchusker_chris
According to the Notice of Allegations, the enforcement staff intends to use interviews with former Wichard partner Josh Luchs, former Oklahoma star linebacker and one-time Wichard client Brian Bosworth and former Nebraska assistant coach Marvin Sanders. Luchs says that while he told investigators that he and Wichard signed players from Blake's next coaching stops at Mississippi State and Nebraska http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/andy_staples/10/21/john.blake/index.html?xid=cnnbin&hpt=hp_bn11 I haven't seen this discussed too much. I didn't realize Marvin was so deep into this. It goes on in the article to say his involvement is regarding Blake's interaction with Suh, and Marvin's phone call to NC to bring Blake to their attention. Considering the other 2 people testifying (Luchs, Bosworth) - Marvin must have a lot more information than a phone call. Quote Link to comment
huzkerbob
Sanders said he never actually spoke to Blake. "They make it seem like I have all this knowledge," Sanders says. "I really didn't." Wait the NCAA would never use statements out of context to make there case appear stronger than it actually is would they? Nah... My favorite quote was from his attorney, "When someone tells you that you don't need an attorney," Beaver says, "hire two." Ain't that the truth! Quote Link to comment
NUance
I feel a little bit bad for Blake. But I suspect he played fast and loose with the rules. And is probably guilty of the stuff they say he did. I'm sure glad they show pics of him in NC blue instead of Husker red. LINK Quote Link to comment
