Just Got Back from the Mall . . . How are we losing?

I was so unconcerned about today, that I took the wife shopping (I don't have the Big 10 Network in San Diego, either). Can somebody give me a quick summary of why we are losing?

Turnovers. Rex fumbled inside the 5 and Enunwa near the redzone. Score should be 17-7 right now.

Thourghly overlooked Northwestern. Don't care what the coaches say they were looking ahead and came out totally flat today. Just like the South Dakota State gme last year.

Just like you the coaches were not concerned about Northwestern. Nebraska got it's arse kicked thoroughly today. Very sad since we had so many recruits here. Hello Outback bowl or whatever. Time to start playing some kids who will be on the field next year.

Offense in first half. Two red zone turnovers. Other drives stopped by penalties, dropped passes. Failed to pick up first down on a couple of 3rd and 2s and one 4th and 2.

 

Defense in second half. 81 yard pass play right after we score. Then, 13 plays, all runs, to kill clock and take 10 point lead late. 468 yards given up.

 

Special teams - Gave up 50 yard kickoff return to start second half; led to easy momentum-sapping TD.

Wow. It was Iowa State all over again! Very sad. We beat ourselves.
