bshirt
I like alot of what Beck has done, but we didnt run near enough zone read this year.... Martinez is one of the best Ive seen at holding the football in the RB's belly until the last minute..... With the added weapons this year the zone read would have worked even better.... I've wondered why we didn't use that this year too. I guess because as stated before in this thread but I surely agree we need to use that weapon again (like immediately). Quote Link to comment
husker_99
This was back when he was a one trick pony. I think they need to get a few of these plays against SC. He still is a one trick pony. Quote Link to comment

HuskerTrucker
Taylor Martinez's name shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as "Passing Quarterback" (unless there is a "not a" in there). Quote Link to comment
BLEED4BLACKSHIRTS
Wish he still had that speed............. Quote Link to comment
huskerjack23
I'm sure that Taylor still has the speed, Beck needs to establish entire series in the zone read game, to establish the threat of him breaking big runs. It seems like it only gets sprinkled in now. I know it seemed like that was all Nebraska relied on last year, but it was a huge part of the offense. The 'skers have additional playmakers at every skill position along with a competent OC that's skilled in the style, there's no reason to abandon that part of the offense. Quote Link to comment
