I'm glad he's finally getting here, but I very much dislike the idea that another institution outside of the university gets to decide who can and cannot go to college, yet when asked to explain their decisions, they clam up and tell the family to stop calling. I think they decide whether or not they can participate in NCAA athletics (consequently affecting their scholarship status and recruitment), which seems fair. Agree with you on the transparency issue though, and this one in particular seems to have been poorly handled. I dislike systems designed to be punitive and not to help individuals.
