HuskerShark
So I got thinking about it, and I really can't think of any player that has played well enough at the moment to be mentioned as a heisman candidate. Right now, I think my vote is Jarvis Jones, LB from Georgia. At the moment he appears to be the best player in the nation. I also really like the QB from Louisiana-Monroe, Kolton Browning. The kid is pretty damn good and is an awesome competitor. What say you? Quote Link to comment
Decked
My vote goes to Collin Klein. Barkley was overated but Geno Smith looks really good. Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Sticking with Taylor Martinez! Quote Link to comment
Flood
If Taylor does not drop off during conference play, I have him as a dark horse. He has looked impressive. He may have to keep this up through next year for serious consideration, though. It's like seeing a new, improved TM out there. For the most part he has been stunning. He will need our defense to improve though, for any real Heisman chatter to develop. Gotta win the games. For this year, I got Geno Smith. Same sort of story, though. Smith looks great, but Big12 will show his weaknesses. Klein looked great against OU. In conclusion, I have no idea what I am talking about, but my fingers keep typ Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
I also think that Taylor is a big time dark horse heisman if he keeps playing well. Especially if he cracks off a couple 50+ yard runs during conference play in big situations. Gotta say, I'm a little impressed that people are saying Collin Klein. Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Dari Nowkhah has Taylor #5 on his heisman list! Not that this is important for anything other than Him getting a little love for his improvement as a passer! 11tds 1int. Almost 70%! Keep it up Taylor and you never know! GBR Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
Poll edited to include Taylor Martinez and Manti Teo from Notre Dame. Quote Link to comment
Decked
I want to switch my vote to Geno Smith. If he doesn't win the heisman I will be shocked. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
At this point in time, I don't think there's really even a debate as to who is leading the pack of heisman candidates. Geno Smith put up video game numbers, and that was damn impressive no matter what way you spin it. As the guys on ESPN said, only one thing needs to be said: 20 TDs, 0 INTs, and leading the nation in passing efficiency. Amazing. Quote Link to comment
GM_Tood
Never would have thought two people with the name Ge(i)no would win the Heisman. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
Say bye to EJ Manuel. Braxton probably moved up a bit after this weekends game. It is still Geno's unless he falls off hard. Quote Link to comment
