clone
From what I have heard, it doesnt mean too much. Does this one game mean more than getting dominated by KU, or getting destroyed by Tech last year?? YES. Quote Link to comment
Red Snow Sword: Husker Sentinel
I think it doesn't hurt recruiting. National Ws are always good. Quote Link to comment
Red Snow Sword: Husker Sentinel
From what I have heard, it doesnt mean too much. Does this one game mean more than getting dominated by KU, or getting destroyed by Tech last year?? YES. Undeniably so, yes it does matter more. Because this is a statement game. TT was an obvious loss in a bad season. Big deal. Anyone who thinks teams don't have losing seasons should grow up - 1 in 40 years ain't that bad. KU was almost the same, but yeah, it was a big loss. Still, no one expected NU to do very well this year. KU makes the CU win all the more important, because it shows that the team can come together, and it can come together after already having had a big loss. And on a national spotlight. CU was a very important game. You if we lost 30-3 to CU, think what everyone would say then. Recruiting for this season would take a huge hit. If anyone wants a 30-3 loss to CU, then go right ahead. I prefer to celebrate positives and persever through the negatives. Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Pillen08..Great link. Thanks http://nebraska.rivals.com/commitlist.asp Neb sitting in 9th in recruiting as of today. Col 68th Texas is #1 I remember an article back when the Big 12 was being formed that said this would help Texas more than it would help the old Big 8 teams now that the Texas kids could play against Neb. The article went on to say that a lot of Texas kids wanted to play against Neb but that we never played Texas so if they couldn't play against us they would just as soon play for us. IMO it looks like this might just be whats happening. Still looks like we have a start to another good recruiting class begining. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
Red Snow Sword: Husker Sentinel
Yeah, I mean, I wasn't really around for the whole BCS conference shift.... but it sounds like it was a strategy to weaken NU and put more emphasis on the south........ It's good to see a 5 star commit this early, I always like that. I never saw the appeal of going to Texas, in all reality. Quote Link to comment
