scarletNcream
I went with the Radeon HD 6870 very nice budget card with 2 DVI, one HDMI and one Display port. Very happy with the AMD setup. No VGA. The 660 Ti is a nice card too. The 6870 comes with overclocking software "Trixx" that makes tweeking easy for any level of user. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Though as a rule, you should never tamper with the clocks on your computer unless you really know what you are doing, and have ideally upgraded all the cooling. Too much risk of cooking the parts for the small gains. Quote Link to comment

rawhide
Finally got the cpu cooler fan from China. It's amazing how hot the cpu tower gets without a fan . Was kinda hopin it would fry to facilitate an upgrade to i5/7 cpu and mobo. Oh well. Crysis 3 runs good on the new 7950 card with all settings at maximum, and that's without loading the amd catalyst package onto windows???? who knew. Quote Link to comment

I just ordered the 2GB version of the 7850 myself--I'll have to try running it w/o installing the AMD catalyst package and see if I get as good of results as you. Quote Link to comment
