NamelessHusker
Player: Denzell Issac Hometown: Gainesville, Florida Position: LB/DE Height: 6’3” Weight: 220 40 time: 4.4 Visit Date: Dec 9th Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Oregon St Favorites: Signed with Oregon State Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Bid Red Report: NR/ Assessing the talent: GRAZIADEI OUT: Graziadei is out for the rest of the season after sustaining a broken sternum in the second quarter. The Pima starting quarterback was hit by Eastern Arizona defensive end Denzell Isaac, who O'Mera said has been scouted by the University of Nebraska, which this season features junior cornerback Zach Bowman, a Bartlett graduate who played the past two seasons for O'Mera at New Mexico Military Institute, which is also in the Western States league. "He broke my sternum in half, right down the middle," Graziadei said Wednesday night. The Storm was in a shotgun formation with five receivers, five offensive linemen and Graziadei alone in the backfield. "They came with a blitz and left our man (receiver) open," Graziadei said. "I threw it to him in the slot and I knew someone was in my presence." Graziadei got hit as he threw the pass and to add salt to his wound, the receiver dropped the ball. Graziadei was down for about five minutes before he was helped off the field by team trainers. He went to a Tucson hospital, where he spent several hours before he was released. Link That should tell you how hard he hits. This guy lives and dies by the blitz and does nothing but eye the QB and make sure he delivers punishment after another. He has AMAZING speed for a LB and will add depth to an already DEEP line backing core with Corey Mckeon, Steve Octavien, Stewart Bradley, Bo Ruud, Phillip Dillard and incoming recruit Steve Allen. NU was alerted of him through Zack Bowman who gave the coaches a heads up to check out. This recruit is highly (and i stress that word) underrated. Hopefully the coaches can keep him under-wraps until signing day, otherwise a few certain "PAC-10" team could come calling for his services. He is originally from Florida but is going to school at Eastern Arizona College. He finished last season with 5 fumble recovery (3 for touchdowns) 10 sacks, 5 pass breakups, 1 interception, 52 tackles (33 solo) and 20 QB hurries. He was a first team All-American. He will have 2 years to play 2 seasons Odds of becoming a Husker: 95% (Will commit to Nebraska in the next day or so) Quote Link to comment
hoyamannn
Also a chance he could come in and play safety. Quote Link to comment

DJR313
Also a chance he could come in and play safety. LB/DE/S?? Talk about versatility. Sounds like an interesting prospect. Would make for a punishing safety or a rushing specialist. Cracked his sternum in half? GODDAMN! That's a hit. This guy sounds like he might be flying under the radar at this moment. Eric the Red
About 90% sure that it will be Nebraska -per big red report Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
About 90% sure that it will be Nebraska -per big red report I really believe this guy can come in and contribute right away. Octavien, Issac and Mckeon in the game backed at the same time up by Stewart Bradley, Phillip Dillard and Bo Ruud? Talk about a deep Linebacker core. If that isn't enough, you have incoming recruit Steve Allen also waiting to go with Dontrell Moore. Andy Kavady should pop the depth chart at outside linebacker. Here is how i see the 2006 LB's depth chart OLB (WILL) Steve Octavien Bo Ruud Steve Allen Lance Brandburgh MLB (MIKE) Corey Mckeon Phillip Dillard Dontrell Moore Andy Kadavy OLB (SAM) Denzell Issac Stewart Bradley Nick Covey Jeff Souder Quote Link to comment
DJR313
This kid may be good, but I am not real sure that anyone could take Stew Bradley's spot at this point, unless he isn't going to be able to come back 100% Quote Link to comment

Bradley is a great linebacker but he looked slow at times this year. That's just my opinion and based on the video i have seen of him when he blitzes, the guy is explosive. Quote Link to comment

THat's awesome, but everyone raved about Bowman and it took him 5-6 games before he took the starting spot from a converted running back. Not saying it can't be done, but Stew seemed to have a good understanding of the defensive scheme. Hopefully this kid can come in and at the very least provide a solid backup for the rotation so all 6 on the 2 deep are fresh the whole game. Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
will be a Nebraska commit by tommarow evening. Denzel wants the coaches to just talk to his mom incase she has any unanswered questions. Denzell gives NU it's 21st commit of the class. By my calcuations, NU has 2 (possibly 3) scholarship slots left available. Quote Link to comment
texhusker
Nameless I was wondering why another LB I know you need to get the best ath., but with our need for secondary I would think save one more for a db or saftie. Unless the three left could give us 1 saf 2 db hopefully highschool guys. Quote Link to comment

In fact, he's been used off and on as a blitzing safety so he's familiar with the role. Don't be suprised if you see him on some safety blitz packages next year Quote Link to comment

Issac could have everything and never see the field, just ask Dontrell Moore. Issac, if he commits will surely see some special teams, which is fine by me, must learn the system. NamelessHusker
Eric, you can go ahead and drop the "Committed to Nebraska" part off his profile. Although he has told the coaches he is going to be a Husker but had to talk it over with his mom, it's pointless at this time. He won't qualify due to the fact he has taken some classes he didn't need and hasn't taken other classes he needs to transfer to Nebraska. They just learned about this when they got his transcripts from college. He's kinda in the same situation as Tyrell Spain is and has some coursework to get done. The coaches are dissapointed and will likely move on to another prospect. I doubt they wait for him. This is a serious blow in my mind. I really liked this kid. I don't see them taking another LB prospect in this class. Ron Paulo is coming in but it's hard to tell whether they take him or not or even if the visit happens The coaches might decide to just cancell the visit. Nothing is certain right now since we have LIMITED visit slots left available Quote Link to comment
