  1. I would agree Bleacher Report is a bunch of crap but Football Scoops has been pretty spot on with what they put up since I have been following the past few years. I can't recall a time when they have put a hire or move on their website that didn't end up happening. Does this source work better for you? http://huskerextra.com/litr/article_d5e6d200-31ee-5868-9b91-a3a13d8a6a62.html
  2. Did I ever tell you about the time The Dude took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can't find one. Finally The Dude takes me to a vacant lot and says, 'Here we are.' We sat there for a year and a half and sure enough someone constructs a bar around us. The day they opened we ordered a shot, drank it, and then Dude burned the place to the ground. The Dude yelled over the roar of the flames, 'Always leave things the way you found em!!
  3. Football Scoop reported this last night...this probably confirms JP as DC. Iowa: Defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski has left the program. He will arrive at Nebraska shortly
  4. Posted on Football Scoop last night. Iowa: Defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski has left the program. He will arrive at Nebraska shortly.
  5. Was recently named the Football Scoop Wide Receivers Coach of the Year. Wish he would have been able to teach Niles Paul and Brandon Kinnie how to catch when he was with Nebraska... http://www.footballscoop.com/coaching-awards/2011-coaches-of-the-year/2011-wide-receivers-coach
  6. Catholics love a good drunk... Edit: This was supposed to say drink..Catholics love a good drink, but I think it is just as fitting as I typed it so I will leave it like this.
  7. You mean we should be hiring 'proven offensive coordinators' like they do at other elite colleges? Like Charlie Weiss at Florida? Edit for macroboy: We should have hired Turner Gill and Scott Frost as CO-offensive coordinators and have them run the Tom Osbourn option. You can commence to the "I'm a real fan and you aren't" portion of the thread.
  8. The guys at Football Scoop are saying they hear that defensive line coach John Papuchis will be promoted to defensive coordinator. They usually don't post something unless they are pretty sure about it. Here's the link...scroll to Sunday, December 4.
  9. No luck at all, this makes me hate Wisconsin and Michigan State even more. They weren't great seats but there was just no market at all for these tickets. We live in the Chicago area so we know quite a few Wisconsin alumni and my wife and I were literally trying to give them away up until Saturday and we could find nobody that wanted to go.
  10. Can I say how disappointed I am with Wisconsin and Michigan St fans? I bought these with the hopes of Nebraska being in the title game and figured I would be able to sell them if they didn't, I can't even give the damn things away. No way these would be unsold if Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State or Michigan or even Iowa makes the game. Sad
  11. If anybody is interested in going I have 2 tickets to the Big 10 Championship Game. I can't go to the game so I am pretty much willing to take any offer at this point, bought the tickets for $60, let me know what you will pay. Section 604, row 8, seats 8 and 9. As with all of the other tickets, it includes entrance into the Fan Expo at the Convention Center all day before the game.
  12. Jusg finished watching him in state title game, 11 catches, 331 yards, 5 TDs!
  13. I just think your pass defense isn't very good this year. Looking back at previous years 2009 Iowa only allowed 49% completion, 2008 it was 55%.
  14. I'm not buying that, Nebraska has fewer sacks on the season than Iowa but yet they are allowing opponents to complete only 53% of passes.
  15. So which is it? They are better against the run or the weakness is the depth along the front 7?
  16. Are you kidding with this? They have the worst secondary in the Big 10, we are only allowing opposing QBs to complete 53% of their passes.
  17. Gets old until he is a Junior....K-State's QB is a Junior.
  18. Agreed, the coaching staff has asked a lot out of Taylor this year. The offense has been based entirely on Burkhead and Martinez, nobody else even has 30 carries/catches.
  19. Lord's numbers, quite the running back... He didn't start until he was a Junior so his Junior/Senior numbers are here. For all of the talk about how bad Taylor's throwing motion is, he is much better at completing passes than past QBs. I don't think most of us remember how truly awful the QBs used to be at passing.
  20. Check out Martinez's first two years compared to some other bum quarterbacks that used to play for Nebraska.
  21. Directly (emphasis on the last sentence added) from the rule book: Opportunity To Catch a Kick Interference With Opportunity ARTICLE 1. A player of the receiving team within the boundary lines attempting to catch a kick, and so located that he could have caught a free kick or a scrimmage kick that is beyond the neutral zone, must be given an unimpeded opportunity to catch the kick. a. This protection terminates when the kick touches the ground, when any player of Team B muffs or touches a scrimmage kick beyond the neutral zone, or when any player of Team B muffs or touches a free kick in the field of play or in the end zone. b. If interference with a potential receiver is the result of a player being blocked by an opponent, it is not a foul. c. It is an interference foul if the kicking team contacts the potential receiver before, or simultaneous to, his first touching the ball. When in question, it is an interference foul.
  22. Being in the Chicagoland area I am tracking Westercamp pretty closely. Through 4 games he's at 20 catches for 369 yards and 5 td's, also has a rushing TD. Based on all of the newspaper articles I have seen teams have been trying to bracket him with 2 and sometimes 3 defenders and he's still putting up some great numbers.
  23. I absolutely loved how the offense ran the same play the entire quarter and Washington could not stop it. Beautiful!
  24. As an Arizona State alum I think it is interesting that USC is throwing the shocker. Especially when this is ASU's sign. No these ladies are requesting the shocker...or are they?
