  1. Thanks for the complements. Easy now Dutch, lets not put the cart before the horse. I got something for you. Actually a few somethings, if more than one turns out the way I drew up. The first two looks were what I thought the team would be most likely to do (minus maybe a detail or two) in the event they did make a change and include black. After all this is an away game (it's possible for a color vs color uni matchup but white is the highly probably choice) and we are talking about a pretty conservative part of the county. I can see the team wanting to make a change for this game but not wanting to make it too drastic or as Simple says, the conservative option. This too is Adidas we are talking about and not nike. Not that Adidas doesn't do crazy stuff but they are less known for going out on a limb. So keeping that in mind, they were just a logical option. All black unis for an away game just doesn't have that high of probability and I don't think they would completely abandon the red (as a stripe or not) for each part of the uniform. But it can happen so I have been drawing up some ideas for all-black options and I will include a black helmet in the first two. I was going to have a black helmet in them anyway as an extra couple of looks but put them aside in the interest of time last night. I will try to work on and finish them tonight. If you have any ideas to try, post them and I can try them out. Who knows, if they do decide to make a change maybe they just do a complete redesign for a black uni (maybe not Maryland like) but along the lines of the Pro-Combat style. Adidas does after all go head to head with Nike and could use Nebraska as their platform. OR maybe Wisconsin is in the redesign rumor mill too. As we have seen in the past when one team uses the pro combat style, both teams tend to do it. Anyone heard anything about a new Wisconsin look? Maybe I can fake something and spread it?
  2. That black helmet I think is a good look. Red on black is a tough look like that though. Here are a couple ideas I came up with that I think would be reasonable based off of the road jersey being white as usual while trying to contrast with the Wisconsin look. It's hard to think that they would go complete Nike/Oregon black out uni like in the previous photoshop looks, especially when rules are pretty stringent (aside from pre-season arrangements) but you never know. So I went with these: It doesn't really matter what they wear but it is fun to speculate.
  3. Gotta keep stirring the pot. http://www.huskerlocker.com/photos/nebraska-equipment-465/406594800jpg_Thumbnail1.jpg-15181
  4. I was going to but it took long enough for the first part and I wanted to get it done before the game. Oh well...next time.
  5. Well its a slower frame rate but a valiant first effort.
  6. Almost done! Now i just have to figure out how to get it to play at a faster rate. My changes aren't quite working.
  7. Now this could be a black helmet I could wrap my head around, er, wrap around my head. Add fuel, add fuel. Let it burn!
  8. Haha, sorry. I got busy. But am working on it. First gotta learn how to make the .gif...
  9. If this white uni thing doesn't happen but the black jersey stuff pans out, then the blackshirts get blackshirts but then so does the offense. Does that tradition then carry over to Offense or just rip a hole in the time space continuum?
  10. That makes logical sense but what's the money making, hype building fun in that for the first ever B1G game? Gotta find a way to cash in... Sellout. Right, conferences collapsing for reasons based on financials and I am the sellout for making a hasty sarcastic joke about them. Maybe I needed to use my sarcasm font. Lesson learned. I simply counteracted your sarcasm with sarcasm. Class dismissed. Yeah got it now. That's my fault. I am usually pretty good at picking it up. Apparently one word replies don't fit that line for me.
  11. That's fine. I get where you are coming from. In hindsight I wrote that part hastily. It wasn't Nebraska's main reason for leaving but fundamentally some of the reasons revolved around money, whether it was Nebraska on the receiving end or not. Does that help? Maybe I just don't know how to state it correctly. Meh... That makes logical sense but what's the money making, hype building fun in that for the first ever B1G game? Gotta find a way to cash in... 13. Since I found out the possibility of joining the B1G, I have been saying the Wisconsin game will be interesting since the two teams have nearly the same colors, uni-maker and uni-look. With that, I am not opposed to something that differentiates the fan bases/teams. Nebraska is known for their well traveled fans creating a sea of red away from home but when you are going to another place with nearly their own sea of red, it makes sense. I am not surprised that Tom Osborne called for Nebraska fans to wear black, as it seems like he likes Nebraska's presence to be known. I love the red/white/black-out concept as an intimidation factor but I also hate it too because if you lose then you look ridiculously foolish for calling so much attention to the game. Risk/reward. But you have to think. Say the Huskers don't go with black uniforms and they were the ones that released that clearly photoshopped image... I have a hard time believing they would put out something so awfully fake like that but you never know...you have to admit, it is adding hype to the game. Not that WE need the extra hype (even though we eat it up) but as a national marketing tool? It's a pretty genius way to keep Nebraska in the headlines. Think about how much buzz Nebraska has created first moving conferences, CONSTANTLY in the news. More buzz about the school any time a new team ponders leaving their conference because the news story usually mentions Nebraska. Even more buzz once the season comes about. Even more hype when people are predicting the Huskers to be in the first ever B1G title game. Then you have T.O. announcing a fan black-out for the first ever B1G game which happens to be in enemy territory. Then tossing out the potential for a black helmet and now the hype of maybe a black uni? Genius and nearly free ad campaign right there. In a world where money dominates all (hell Nebraska essentially left the Big 12 for more money), free advertising like this is amazing. Example? See: Justin Bieber being found on Youtube.
  14. "That's what I'm talkin' bout." When the suggestion was made about adding T-Mart's head into that gif, what I should have said was.. "Easy, I have already looked into it (for myself)" What if I did an Enunwa stiff arm mashup with the moment Napolean's face gets mashed by the steak in that clip? The defender and napolean dang near get stopped in their tracks.
  15. Haha, his head remains relatively still so finding a matching T-mart headshot and photoshopping it into the .gif should be relatively easy. I haven't made an animated .gif before, maybe I will give it a shot after work.
  16. He is no Joe Montana. Remember it is only really about the way he throws and very much less about the effectiveness. Just a funny comparison to the style. I joke that it looks like he is trying to hit the moon with each longer pass because he dips underneath so much. In the end it doesn't really matter how you throw as long as the pass is completed. Tim Tebow proved that. It just won't always work with a less effective throwing style at higher levels. Tim Tebow is also proving that. I agree that he has mostly been making better decisions this year. Interceptions notwithstanding.
  17. I have been trying to figure out for a while now what Taylor Martinez throwing style was like and not until today did someone suggest the likeness to Uncle Rico. "How much you wanna bet I can throw this football over them mountains?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnyDUJMw6xg http://movieclips.com/qV2M-napoleon-dynamite-movie-uncle-rico-could-have-gone-pro/0/93.507 I hadn't heard it before so the idea isn't mine but I made a little photo in jest. Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post, so if the mods move it, then so be it.
  18. Sad part is you almost have to watermark the hell out of anything to get any credit. I would contact them and say something about at least giving credit where credit is due and possibly removing their stamps. It's worked for me in the past but not everyone is so cooperative. I am sure you have figured that out already but its worth a shot.
  19. Haha, maybe I need to start making Lions ones as well. Maybe some Raiders or Rams ones too, LOL. I figured the lens flares and the twist pattern. Those are similar to a photography technique called camera tossing. Leave the camera on a long exposure in a darkened room pointed at some funky lights and chuck it into the air. There are some great patterns like your backgrounds as a result. p.s. I love Tuts Plus. Its been a great helper tool for me over the years.
  20. I think it is important to note that B1G writers still only know the pre-neb B1G and until the Huskers get into conference play the appropriate credit due (good or bad) won't be there. As we have seen, there is a wide gamut from people accepting Neb with open arms and ready to declare them B1G champs to people who aren't so pleasant towards Big Red. We just won't know until the conference games start how they really stack up. Too many new match-ups that is not worth it to get mildy worked up over predictions. Although I will say I think the blogger had a fair assessment of Nebraska's standing within the conference.
  21. I am new to Cy's posts but I have to say that I picked up on him right away. Entertaining for sure. Although, I thought the Coach Kill reference may have been a bit below the belt. I got what Cy was saying, but IMO I wouldn't have gone that direction. No harm I am sure, so no foul.
  22. I have been checking out your stuff via flickr since you added me. I can see your progression. I am liking those packers/lions ones. The backgrounds are super cool. What kind of effect is that? Did you create those yourself just messing around or spin them off from a tutorial? I am all self taught and if people are willing to share their tricks I love to learn them and share my own.
  23. We went to Joe Sensors twice last season. I just moved here and wanted to find a place, found out they were a big Husker bar and went there. The place gets PACKED and loud and at times roudy. To sit, you do have to get there pretty early. The band is fun, the atmosphere is fun. One game a table of all guys right next to us had "that guy" who was clearly overserved, was hitting on all the waitresses (often times very inappropriately and arguably groped them), the friends let him go for a while until many warnings from my table, a table nearby and people complaining to the staff. Even then the friends didn't really do much to keep him under wraps and he was pretty out of control. I know that happens and you can't predict it to stay away but it really ruined my experience that day and I likely won't go back very much now that games are on BTN. Overall, I would say Joe Sensors is a good place to go. I just wish I didn't have the memories from that one day. That guy made a lot of people uncomfortable and the staff didn't really do anything. Hopefully, if you visit there your experience will be better than that time for me.
