If a network televises it you make money but you share with all the teams in the conference. You make MORE money if it's on PPV because you get a better % and it's a direct deal with the University. That's probablly his reasoning on not wanting to move the game. It's a SMART move by Steve Pederson.

Good!! The last few years the networks abandoned NEBRASKA, looks like the tide has turned (RED) again. NEBRASKA dictates when our home games are played, not the networks.

I could give a sh#t about the NFL - The reason is Coach's have routines and even a 1 day deviation of it sometimes get's teams out of rhythm, dosen't matter that were playing a lower tier team. Not only is the preceding week's schedule out of whack but the following week also.

I guess this free's up another Scholarship for someone else.

I get the report every year sent to me, People have no idea what it cost's to run a MAJOR athletic program. That's the reason they schedule lower tier football games because NEBRASKA keeps 70% of the ticket revenue - When usc and vt come to Lincoln we might only keep 55% - 60% of the ticket revenue - Title X - takes money away from the revenue producing sport's. People can WHINE all they want about playing lower tier teams, but it comes down to MONEY - Just like everything else. Steve Pederson has to answer to the Board Of Regents and a surplus is a lot easier to present than a LOSS.

I think they should give them about $2000.00 spending money, they already feed them and pay for books, school and rent - I think that's plenty because they do bring alot of revenue in for the school - Paying players Millions to come to college WTF is wrong with you - Who the f#*k would go to class then? + Who's gonna give the lower revenue schools the 25 million - Are they going to revenue share like the NFL? - NO ultimately it's the schools money to do with how they see fit.
