  1. Most complete and best overall teams in the BIG10..now that we're sorta on this subject...here's my TOP 4: 1.) Wiscy 2.) OSU 3.) NEB 4.) MICH ST I could swap OSU and NEB....but NEB has to show me that they'll keep up the defensive intensity. ugh no slide Wisconsin down 4 pegs. We can't play defense worth a damn and all you have to is fluster RW and he doesn't score for a whole damn quarter... Wow... Are the Wisconsin fans calling for his backup now? You know, because some of our fans would never do that... No chance in hell. Wisconsin would be sitting at probably 3 or 4 losses right now without him. But our defense is nowhere near championship caliber.
  2. Wiscy will have a down year next year I am thinkin....It will be the year of NEB, OSU and MICH. I bet those are the top 3 teams. I am getting ahead of myself on this right now...lol Yep, 7-8 win season next year for us unless we get another dream transfer I was worried about your team after I heard about the spring scrimmage game.... I dunno, we could surprise though, just thinking about it if we can sort out our QB before the season we should be in good shape. I really hope Curt Phillips gets to start, kid balled out in Tennessee and was sure to play but has torn his ACL twice. If he can somehow play and set that straight we could be scary. Big O-line, seasoned Defense and White, Abbrederis and maybe Ball coming back we could sneak up on some people. Need to check out our schedule though... Non-conf should be 4-0 at first glance. Big Ten schedule looks like this: @ Nebraska (probably a loss) Illinois (depends on what happens with Zook, possible loss) @ Purdue (should be a win) Minnesota (win) Michigan State (a real toss-up here, we finally get MSU away from East Lansing. Could go either way) @ Indiana (win) Ohio State (loss) @ Penn State (likely a loss just because it's on the road) So yeah, anywhere from 9-3 to 7-5 looks plausible.
  3. I'm the same way. Although it was fun to watch them lose, I would have preferred to have them win in Columbus. I'd like to think the last two weeks have taught all the jackass badger fans I ran into in Madison (not all of them, just the pricks, I met some very nice Badger fans as well) some humility but I doubt that's the case. No, just that there is no God.
  4. That's been going for what? 3 or 4 years now?
  5. I like and respect the Buckeyes more than Wisconsin, I really did not like the Wisconsin chant at the end of the game mocking the Huskers --- that really was bush league. So... I like OSU better than Wisconsisn by a great deal. Buckeye fans seem to be great sports and know how to deal with success (and struggling to regain success). Wisconsin fans do not know how to deal with what modest success that they have had. So... I prefer OSU a great deal. That said, I'd love to see the Huskers play and beat Wisconsin. That said, if Wisconsin does not even get there, then that is even better. So... bring on the Buckeyes, they are a class opponent and playing them again would be great. Buckeye fans are often touted as some of the worst in college football. It's a matter of experience, of course, but it seems to pop up far more often than good things do. I heard a lot of T-sips complaining about how they were treated in Columbus a few years back. I was at the game and did not see any of it, but can imagine that if they were walking around campus throwing hook em horns gestures at people that they were not welcomed very well. Hand gestures seem to be popular in Texas (hook em horns, gig em aggies, get yur guns or whatever that thing is that Texas Tech does), but they are not popular in the Big Ten, so you might as well be flipping someone off. I am sure each school has it's share of poor sports. There are plenty of bad Buckeye fans, but many more of us that are good sports and enjoy the competition and open discussions. This is generally a good rule to abide by for any school.
  6. Me too. Unless it's some colossal matchup like #1 vs. #2 that would warrant a national showcase, I think the Big Ten would prefer to keep these games during the day.
  7. Granted this article is from a year ago, but it doesn't seem like it's a hard and fast rule: http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/12592/november-night-games-not-impossible-in-bt
  8. Fixed it for you. 48-17 5 National Championships....................LMAO You really laughed that hard over that?
  9. Fixed it for you. 48-17 I have nothing to add except some random generic smack talk.
  10. And if Northwestern wins, NUance has to change his name to, um...NEBance?
  11. I thought that was only last year, but I could be wrong. And yes, I could see Boise being taken by the Rose.
  12. This debate is destined to go on until the end of time.
  13. Wouldn't OU go to the Fiesta? I'm not sure how this works.
  14. I pushed for this to be our big "rivalry" game this summer but nobody would listen to me. I called it "The Game For The Name," and I had a trophy idea (large silver "NU" on a wooden podium base, with engraved plaques indicating who won the game and got to use the name for the year). Everyone pointed and laughed. There were some rotten tomatoes thrown. It got ugly. I may have pouted. C'est la vie. Seeing as how they named the divisions Leaders and Legends, I'm not so sure your proposal fell on deaf ears over at the Big Ten offices...
  15. I want to see the teams come to blows over this argument on the field.
  16. The Big Ten should hope that Stanford somehow makes the MNC, because they'd be a tough draw for anyone in the Rose Bowl.
  17. You "struck a nerve" by throwing out unfounded accusations of a kid who, by all accounts, is a great person on and off the field. You obviously have some deep-seated resentment towards Bielema and Wisconsin as a whole. By the way, your post is the most passive-aggressive one yet.
  18. you mean the world where 2+2=4? Think about it: the SEC goes from perennial suckfest to five titles in a row? nick saban goes from big 10 bottom feeder to hall of famer through some divine miracle? Auburn and Ole Miss with proven $180,000+ deals with Cam and his daddy and "no improprieties found?" Russel Wilson, a fifth year senior from va, transfers from ncstate to a perennial also-ran in BFE for no particular reason? And btw, doesn't even lose a year of eligiblity either. something smells fishy, and it ain't just milwaukee. I thought that rule was pretty black and white. I'm not sure what's that "fishy" about a rule laid out by the NCAA. Right or wrong, it's not like they just made it up on the spot.
  19. EXACTLY! I completely agree with you. I'd say if we lose to Penn State and face either Penn State or Wisconsin in the CCG we have a GREAT chance of beating both of those teams. It's really hard to beat the same team twice in a season IMO. If I had to choose a game to lose with the rest of our schedule is has to be Penn State. Doesn't effect our race in the Legends division. We have to beat Michigan and I'm not worried about Iowa because they won't win many Legend games from here on out. We lose to Michigan and we need help getting to the CCG. Or you guys could just do us a big giant favor and beat PSU the first time.

    WISCONSIN

Bielema needs to swallow his pride and hire a special teams coordinator instead of coaching the unit himself. You can't expect to win with a blocked punt two weeks in a row.
