  1. Denard learned a valuable lesson, don't cheat on your girlfriend if she knows all of your passwords.
  2. This keeps getting better and better. Imagine, after all of their posturing, if Missouri did not get accepted into the SEC. Ha, they have no luck. Many SEC fans don't want them.
  3. I'll drop it. You guys have a good board and I'll continue to visit. I've been lurking since the expansion was announced last year and was impressed with you all then and still am today. After this week's games the UW-NU game will have lost much of its effect and on that note..beat the buckeyes...please.
  4. I loved when you guys beat Clemson, I did my undergrad at one of their rivals and it was so awesome to watch you guys pull off the comeback and break their hearts.
  5. Is the NCAA ever really going to hammer OSU? It seems like they have it coming.
  6. Yea but not at anyone here, I'm trying to quit smoking. It's been a rough week
  7. I feel bad for them, they're like that desperate girl at the bar that just wants to go home with someone....anyone
  8. I agree. As far as the Big Ten's expansion options go Mizzou is probably only behind Notre Dame. Yep, If both were added they'd be in a great position for the future. Damn ND has always got to be so stubborn!
  9. Well given the record, going to UW is a real opportunity to achieve great things. Deciding not to let your son attend because of some hooligans at a football game that you read about on a forum online is brash, ignorant, irresponsible and immature. You're definitely denying him a shot. But like someone said above...1. He probably wouldn't get in. (To be an out of stater at Wisconsin you'd better be REALLY squared away, they're not looking for anymore midwestern males) 2. Best to save the spot for someone that deserves it and would value it. Oh and a few other thoughts. You expect your child to learn sportsmanship and basic manners in college? My parents ensured I had those things long before I left for college. And sure some of the rankings may be arbitrary in your view, but that's why I included so many...any way you want to measure it Wisconsin provides a better environment for higher education than any school in Nebraska. I really don't buy your "College molding my son into being a man" argument. You should have done that already so I don't include that in my evaluation. Football stats since 2000 were included in keeping with my "what have you done for me lately" theme. I'll reiterate, Minnesota has won more CFB National Championships than UNL, and nobody really gives a care to it since they're awful now. Just like Minnesota you guys are no longer an elite team. Haven't been in more than a decade. It sucks, I'm sure but since 2000 Wisconsin has had a better record than the Huskers and last Saturday we proved we are the better team. Oh and on Obama, you really went there? You've got to be kidding to play that card. Controversy around that award aside the Prize still remains one of the most prestigious in the world.
  10. You just denied your son a shot at success... Out of all institutions of higher learning in our nation UW ranks fourth in alumni serving as CEO's of Fortune 500 companies beat only by Harvard, Columbia and UPenn and topping schools like Cornell and Princeton. Nebraska failed to make the list. Wisconsin is also fifth in the nation when counting graduates serving in Congress. UW consistently ranks among the top public universities in the nation and is frequently ranked among the best research institutions in the world. Lets break it down... Nobel peace prize winners UW 19 UNL 3 Pulitzer Prize Winners UW 34 UNL 8 P.R. Party School ranking UW 14 UNL NR ARWU World Ranking of Univ's UW 25 UNL NR QS World Ranking of Univ's UW 41 UNL 401-450 tier US News Law Schools UW 34 UNL 85 US News Med Schools (Research) UW 26 UNL 66 (Med School not on campus) US News Med Schools (Prim. Opponents are both 3-3 in series. UW Alumni include Stephen E. Ambrose, Frederick Jackson Turner, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Charles Lindbergh among others. UNL- Severely lacking though John Pershing and Warren Buffet stand out. UW is the better overall school and Madison is the better overall town. UNL used to be good in football but so did Pitt and Minnesota. We live in a "what-have-you-done-for-me-lately" world. I'd take UW any damn day of the week.
  11. God I wanted them in the Big Ten, Delany is stupid for not taking them. Great School, solid athletically, fits academically, natural rivals in the conference and brings in TV markets, they even wanted to join, now the SEC adds to its dominance.
  12. Actually, the Huskers are closer than you think to the Packers in terms of sellouts. Green Bay had 336 back in 2007. What else is there to do in GB? They also play a lot more games each year. And basically who cares? T_O_B G>B>R There's a lot to do in Green Bay, great town.
  13. After watching the video I think what he said has been blown way out of proportion.
  14. Ummm. . . . No. If you don't know, you better ask somebody. UW is very strong in hoops -- finished no lower than 4th in conference for a decade under our Coach Bo (Ryan) and has been to the NCAA tourney like 14 years in a row. The comments about low scoring are about UW's deliberate style. It's somewhat of a myth because UW routinely scores in the 60s while holding its opponents to the 40s and 50s. Our football team scored over 70 three times last year, so that's where the jokes come from. My bad. I don't follow basketball of any kind at all. I just know that NU sucks at it. Hate the sport way to much. Was just taking what you guys were joking about. Guess that will be another loss of ours in your state. I'm pretty much the same way. Love to play it, would rather get a month in solitary confinement than watch it. That's how I feel about soccer
  15. How is Husker Baseball? I'd have to imagine you all are decent, they play the CWS in omaha after all...
  16. Blast from the Past OSU RB's look like convicts oh wait thats because they are....
  17. While I agree that College Football is by far the superior game I would venture to say that he who does not respect the Packers is not a football fan at all but rather an ignorant pretender.
  18. What's b-ball? You'll know it's arrived because Wisconsin will score less points in it than they do in football. ...haha, and the weird thing is...they'll still win. A lot.
  19. Actually, the Huskers are closer than you think to the Packers in terms of sellouts. Green Bay had 336 back in 2007. The popularly espoused sellout count for the Packers does not factor in games played in Milwaukee (also sell outs). Adjusted for these games the home streak is well over 400. No, I did take that into account. Again, that number is from 2007 and the information is from a Yahoo Answers page, so I'm not standing behind it. Just wanted to put that out there. Go season by season and break it down, the 336 number, while promoted by the franchise is a very conservative count. I'm sure. I don't really have the energy to do that tonight, so I'm gonna have to trust you on this one. Thank you, trust me its not worth the energy, and I didn't even count playoffs. God the Packers....so offtopic yet so awesome

  21. Actually, the Huskers are closer than you think to the Packers in terms of sellouts. Green Bay had 336 back in 2007. The popularly espoused sellout count for the Packers does not factor in games played in Milwaukee (also sell outs). Adjusted for these games the home streak is well over 400, and that streak started two years before the Huskers' so any way you choose to measure it we both know the finer points of streaking.
  22. haha, Huskers telling Sconies about sell out streaks...that's cute. Should've gone a bit further north and tried that, would've been laughed out of town.
  23. Things I think of when I hear Big Red, 1. Chewing Gum 2. The Army Division 3. Nebraska Football
  24. Meh, don't get worked up about it, like Badger_HB said, we've never used that moniker. I don't want it. It reminds me of chewing gum...and by and by Wisconsin is worthy of respect in its own right, wait for B-Ball season.
