Moderate deal, imo. I thought Nixon had a chance to give us some go. Newsome was going to provide solid depth as #3/#4 CB and ST.

Walked around Wisconsin and OhioSt campuses last week to get a feel for things. Really liked Wisconsin and thinks OhioSt is close to offering. Going to do the same thing with Neb and Iowa next week. Has 5 teams he's focused on but doesn't want to announce them. Prefers to take visits in fall, but if he finds the right fit he'll commit before season. Him and Fidone would be a crazy good class, this kid is going to get a large rating bump.

I'd been on the fence for awhile, but today's news put me over the edge. The numbers game points to other positions needing it more.

Did he get a bump from Rivals or has he been a 5.7? That's .1 away from 4star status. Curious is all.

I might catch some flack for this, but i'm either passing here or dragging this out till we get our numbers more settled. Not necessarily because I think Mbow is a bad prospect, but I think we have bigger needs in the class relatively speaking.

Him being from HI might help us actually. If Wash fills up he won't have visited anywhere and can't just drive to a local (P5) school to feel comfortable.

Good news is with Kpai and Malcolm on board they can afford to be picky and play the long game. Quite the difference from last year when we missed out on target after target at ILB, although we ended up stumbling into a good haul.

I'm a big fan of Thrower. Mainly because if Wisconsin wants a LB, I want that LB.
