  1. That's a little better. Sock Puppet, what kind of stains are on your sock? Don't go into too much detail, but I'd still like to know.
  2. Another thread asking whether or not anyone wants Iowa to win? GTFO with this stuff.
  3. You were doing great, and it was hilarious until you made this post. Keep it more inane and abstract. Remember, you're a sock puppet - you're not capable of introspection.
  4. OP, what are you really doing here? It feels more and more like you're a troll account, executing a mastermind slow roll. I haven't ever used the ignore feature on this forum, but it's gettin there.
  5. Can I take that to mean that it's imperative to fire Beck and Ganz in order to produce better offensive results? Or is that not what you're implying.
  6. Recruiting a consensus four-star quarterback capable of throwing the ball well would go a long, long way in my opinion also. I would LOVE to get Sheriron Jones. It is absolutely not possible to win conference titles with a QB that is erratic throwing the ball. Although it wouldn't make up for any of mediocrity of the last few seasons, it would go a long way for me. **Edit - Tommy wasn't the problem on Saturday. I'm not saying that. But we had 17 points of offense against Minnesota, and roughly the same amount against Sparty. Just terrible!
  7. There's practically nobody that is saying this.
  8. I know. But I do really think it confirms what most of us have thought for a couple years - he's entrenched in his buddy system, and it isn't gonna change. He claimed that he has changed things in this presser. He hasn't, and he won't.
  9. I didn't want to make a new thread for this, but Bo just said this a second ago in the Monday morning presser? "Eric...I don't want to go into this. But would I fire a guy to save my own job? No. Would I fire a guy who deserved firing? Yes." Hmmmm.
  10. What about the stat posted earlier this week though that says that since 2011, we lead the nation in most losses of 17 points or more? What do you do with that? That's a four-season span. **Edit - I accidentally said 'most wins of 17 points...' Fixed.
  11. I think the three biggest problems we have (in order) are: 1. Lack of an actual defensive coordinator to push back on Bo's stubbornness to turn us into a B1G rush defense 2. Offensive line coaching 3. An apparent lack of QB coaching I feel like it's completely obvious those three things are not getting fixed in our current configuration. I'd prefer the Solich Ultimatum. Fire your coordinators, fire Cotton (FOR F***'S SAKE, FIRE COTTON), fire Ganz, and bring in known variables at each. I like Bo as the face of the program, and I think his integrity and values match up pretty well with our program's traditions/the state's values - similar to what QMany said. But no more pissing on a game like Saturday and then claim in the Monday morning presser that it's raining.
  12. Sheriron, please...please come to Lincoln. We'll love you long time. Promise.
  13. Haha, I lol'd. We should be friends in real life, sd'sker. I definitely take stock of how important my little girls are relative to Husker football on days like last Saturday. I've watched the Miami highlight vids multiple times lately to give me some good Husker feels. Barely gets me to normal...
  14. A concise way to sum it up, agreed. If the only variable that greatly improved would be O-line discipline and determination, our results would probably even be fairly dramatically different. I think coaching can and would fix this.
  15. This is a great thread. I can relate to the 'Maybe I'm growing up and my interests are changing...' sentiment. Then I'll say to myself, "This is ingrained in me; it's who I am to be obsessed with Husker football!" But at any rate, your chart of preseason interest is so spot on. Next season is going to be dismal heading into it, even if we win our next three games in stunning fashion.
  16. This has the potential to be the worst OP we've seen in awhile.
  17. Agreed. Sometimes I wonder if it's a function of how much man we're playing, too. Whatever it is, it just keeps happening.
  18. What you did there is called creating a straw man.
  19. As a former, successful defensive coordinator for NU, Pelini knew the fans, traditions, etc. Didn't end up meaning anything at all.
  20. I don't think anybody said that Frost won't work out because Bo didn't. The point is that recent examples in the college football world show that bringing in someone who has meaningful FBS head coaching experience gives a higher rate of success than hiring a coordinator with zero FBS head coaching. There's a huge difference between those two scenarios. Also, I don't think Frost has more of a tie to our program than Bo had in 2007. They both had significant successes previously with us. In my opinion, Frost would be better than a shoe box with a Pikachu sticker on it for a head coach and could probably do better than Callahan, but I wouldn't touch him unless he was the last option. Throw the damn money at a known variable.
