  1. No worries. Seemed pretty interesting. Can't say I've never been fooled before.
  2. You know, before today I really wanted to. I like to see our guys throw as much as possible. Why would I want to watch the games if not to see us play the maximum amount? But you've caused me to rethink my whole outlook.
  3. It would help your credibility if you weren't always insisting that the only possible scenarios are the two at either extreme end of the spectrum.
  4. Seems like the Tweet (X?) was deleted. And it doesn't seem to be reported anywhere else. Which makes on wonder.....
  5. Well, a player thinking he didn't get a call is clearly indicative of a systemic issue.
  6. It took five seconds on Google to find Blake Snell (two time Cy Young winner) threw 43 pitches in a first inning last year. Daniel Norris of the Tigers threw 54 in the first a few years ago. Bartolo Colon once took 61 pitches to get out of the first inning. Steve Trachsel threw 61 pitches in an inning. Those are all major league guys. Yes, it's rare. But it does happen. And, with the overall game being pretty average, it seems that there were probably other factors that we more of the cause.
  7. Eh .... the BEST pitchers in MLB last year averaged about 15 pitches per inning. From my anectdotal watching pitch counts during games, if they keep it under 20 they're doing OK. This is about 19. I'm not sure it's that far out of the norm. FIU was about 2:1 strikes to balls so it doesn't seem that they had a tiny strike zone.
