Football (usually) overlaps basketball more than volleyball does. Might be part of it. Plus more athletes to go around on the men's side. Back in the day it was interesting to watch the football players play intramural basketball. Dave Volk was hard to guard. Sterup would probably help out next year. Wonder if DPE can handle?
