Nobody has Florida/Georgia either and I'd take that first.

The biggest issue is the recruits have - I assume - been given the impression that a certain coach or coaches will be their coaches the next year. Some would claim they signed under false pretenses. If coaches leave in December, the recruit would know that before they signed. I get it...but the biggest "recruit" warren has is his family...his real life. If he thinks that leaving is a better choice...well...he needs to do that. Yes, but you're talking two different subjects. No one is arguing that his reason for leaving is bad. It's the timing.

Pretty good list, Haspula. I definitely think you're on the right track. I would wager a good sum that it will be a minority hire with southern ties, especially Florida/Georgia.

I don't see any road wins and beating Maryland is a long shot. That leaves Iowa at home as the best chance. Plus the first-round game in the B1G tourney.

I think it's pretty interesting that seemingly none - definitely most - of the other players didn't know. Not knocking on Petteway at all because everyone handles things differently and he's entitled to handle it however he wants. But it makes me wonder how close he is to the rest of the team. Those are guys that he spends a lot of time with and has for a couple years. If he doesn't even feel like he can tell them, that seems odd to me - for lack of a better term.
