It can be. But it was thoroughly explained otherwise in this case. So either: 1 - You quit reading after "It's not the 70s or 90s anymore" and don't want to admit it. -or- 2 - You don't care because you couldn't pass up a chance to call other people's opinions "asinine" or "dumb" or contend they have "no reasoning".

No, he said it's not the 90s anymore but nowhere did he say "Nebraska can't win" or any close derivation thereof. In fact, he said exactly the opposite.

Please show me where anyone is arguing this. Please go the post in this very thread after skersfan said his piece and see what the first phrase in his defense was. Can we stop playing the "show me" card when we all know it's not made up? So, to you, saying "we can still win the conference and have an outside shot at the playoff" means that we can't win anymore because it's not the 90s? Perhaps it's just me but the conclusion drawn from that post does seem fabricated.
