  1. I agree mostly but I don't think another 7-4 will cut it. It will have to be atleast 8 and I think it will probably be 9 wins. Optimistic? Well, if the Huskers play like they did yesterday all of next year, they will win every game. If they slip up and have a few "Kansas type games" where the bottom falls out, which I think may happen, they will lose a couple. I think they win all their home games except to Texas. I think we win all our away games except USC. Callahan will be shooting for 9 wins and everyone will be expecting the pattern to keep going. Does that mean we will have 11 wins in 2007 and play in the national championship? Hopefully, but I think we win anywhere from 8-10 next year.
  2. Amazing trick plays. They had Taylor, Ross, Nunn, Murtha, Bullocks, and Congdon throwing the ball and making plays! Amazing!
  3. Nah, we won't make the Alamo Bowl.
  4. I think it helps a whole lot! The dominant passing game is sure to get receivers and quarterbacks interested. And I think the all-purpose yardage that Cory Ross had made him look great. I think this game was great for recruiting.
  5. That was ridiculous! If the game had depended on that, I would be pissed!
  6. Thank you Buff fan. I really don't know what happened in Boulder with the fans acting like that but it seems like absolute chaos. I know Colorado is better than that and should have better coaching. I hope the WCO does turn out successful at Nebraska and I hope to see improvement each year. I think we were all shocked from this game, which is good for me. I really thought it would be opposite. Good luck in Boulder.
  7. If we played like that every game we'd be undefeated. I can see difinite progess and I see this WCO coming together.
  8. These Colorado fans are making their team look horrible. The officials have stopped the game 3 times to clean the stuff off the field. This is ridiculous and sad for Colorado.
  9. Good luck and be safe over there. I hope everything goes well for you. Go Big Red!
  10. It was good to see Usecheck retire. Great picture!!!
  11. Do we or do we not have as much talent as Kansas? as Missouri? If the scheme is too compex for the young guys to learn, simplify it until they can grasp what they need to let their talent work for them. How many formations and motions into formation does a team need to run in order to perform??? And, if it is just a matter of getting experience in the scheme, why is it that we see the same simple mistakes every week, offsides, misalignments, etc. etc. All of these excuses about "give it more time" "these guys are young yet" etc. are not holding much water anymore. ND has got it done w/ a first year HC, South Carolina isnt doing badly, either. Stoops didnt make excuses, he won in year #2. There is no way that KU, Mizzou, KSU, and Pitt have the same level of talent as NU. Its a good PRO system (bad for college athletes) that is being run and "taught" by bad coaches. The result is an 11-10 record. They do have the same talent because Frank left us that way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then is a damn good thing that Frank is a better coach than billy c, because he beat these guys more than he lost to them If Frank could get 9 (10) wins out of a similiar schedule with similar players, and billy c can only manage 5 to 6 wins, its easy to see who the better coach is. You really can't determine who the better coach is by that perspective. If Callahan was running the option with the same-level talent, then you could make a contrast but Callahan is running the WCO with a mediocre class of talent that was brought in to run the option. If Callahan was 5-6 running the option, I would say Solich is he better coach. However, Solich was 7-7 one year and without good reason. I think since it was Callahan's first year, a 5-6 season is over-lookable.
  12. Not only did we get shafted by the officials in the Oklahoma game but if you watched the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game you saw how Oklahoma got shafted too. What is the purpose of instant replay if you don't use it the right way? Oklahoma lost to a Texas Tech team, which I can't stand because of Mike Leach, that isn't really that good at all. They gave Taurean Henderson the touchdown when he was clearly short of the endzone. I don't know what's up with this crappy officiating but it occurs in almost every Big XII game.
  13. Who do you think will start the Colorado game and who do you think should start. I think Taylor should start if he is able. Does anyone know his situation?
  14. I emailed Callahan's Assistant yesterday about it , she emailed me back this morning and said she forwarded my email to the S.I.D. - it seems there's a 10-12 game descrepiency over wins so they are going to go through the records to double check, but since we are close they will acknowledge it when it happens if my record keeping is incorrect. So, until proven otherwise, the ESPN recognition is correct?
  15. You're right. I can have patience for the offense to start clicking, but the defense? Gimme a break. I just don't know what is wrong with the Blackshirts. Sure you can't put all the blame on Coz but you can put some on him. The Tech gameand the Mizzou game are definitely his fault. We were shutting Brad Smith down in the 2nd quarter, we had him figured out and then Cosgrove goes and changes the scheme to what it was before. I dont know who could replace him but I think he must go.
  16. According to the ESPN College Football Encycloedia, up to the 2005 KSU game, Nebraska is 790-322-41.
  17. Yep. Arkansas sucks because of Houston Nutt.
  18. I think it would be interesting to see what the fans have to say about Nebraska. I want to see what kind of Husker-bashing they are doing on some of their boards. I would really love to just DEMOLISH the Buffs in Boulder this year. That would be sweet!!!
  19. Too early to tell. Hopefully it won't be another mediocre season though. You never know if we will beat USC and Texas.
  20. Bill Snyder has announced that this will be his last season as head coach at Kansas State. He feels that if he can't beat Nebraska now he will never beat them again.
  21. How about Florida St. in the Champs Bowl. The World Herald reported that that is who Champs wants, NU vs. FSU. It doesn't make sense that the Champs Sports Bowl would want Florida State. They wouldn't make as much money if FSU went. Virginia or someone farther North would be a better decision. That doesn't mean FSU won't go though.
  22. They have an awesome o-line. They were able to block and let the RB run the ball down Georgia's throat. Cory Ross could do the same if we had a better o-line.
